Chopard expresses love with the Happy Love Watch

  • May 28, 2019
  • 2 minute read

The Artisan of Emotions, Chopard, has chosen this year to celebrate LOVE: a universal message which has inspired a new variation within the Happy Sport watch collection. The collection is aptly named the Happy Love watch since the blue mother-of-pearl dial bears the letters LOVE while the dancing diamonds twirl on it.

The Happy Sport watch first came into existence in 1993 when
co-president and artistic director of the Maison, Caroline Scheufele designed a sports watch based on a unique and explosive combination: steel and diamonds. Owing to Chopard’s creativity, the watch has been reinvented multiple times throughout its more than a quarter of a century of existence. With the Happy Sport watch, one no longer looks at the wrist to tell the time, but to appreciate the luxury of observing gracefully whirling diamonds revelling in their freedom expressed through an ever-changing choreography.

With Happy Love, the seven dancing diamonds continue their joyful waltz on a blue mother-of-pearl dial while conveying a universal message emitting eminently positive vibes: LOVE.

The letters are stylised in a colourful street-art mode and the letter O has been carefully crafted in the shape of a heart: a direct reference to the emblematic symbol of Chopard, the Big-Hearted Maison.

The 36 mm-diameter steel case of the Happy Love watch is fitted with a royal blue glossy leather strap matching the dial colours. It contains a self-winding mechanical movement guaranteeing an approximately 42-hour power reserve.
