V-Marine, the Bahrain-based specialist in floating properties, recently announced a new product line called Rise. Comprising three models – 55, 70 and 80 – Rise is a luxury houseboat that offers the convenience of a self-propelled watercraft. Rise 55 is the launch model, and according to the manufacturer, its first two sales have already been secured.

V-marine is an innovative shipyard registered as a boat and shipbuilder under Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce. It designs and manufactures a wide range of stationary and motorized floating properties, as well as auxiliaries such as jetties and gangways.

The company’s portfolio of customisable floating properties for personal use includes houseboats, chalets, lounges and offices. Examples of commercial applications include hospitality lounges, restaurants, theatres, and modular floating resorts. V Marine also produces on-land modular structures such as garden lounges and chalets.

V-marine’s new Rise 55 combines modernist design with premium interiors. It measures 16.7m in length, has a beam (width at its widest point) of 4.8m, and has two levels. The standard power output is from two motors of 200hp each, and the reported speed is 6 to 12 knots. Rise 70 will be 20.7m x 4.8m, while Rise 80 will be 23.9m x 75m.

Rise 55’s salient feature, like all V-marine products, is its interior. V-Marine collaborates with leading designers and decorators to deliver a premium ambience. This is done through the use of high-quality finishing and a choice of premium materials, from hand-crafted furnishings to hand-picked decor pieces.

The standard interior layout on the lower level is divided into four areas. The largest of these is the lounge at 26.4 square metres, used for entertainment and dining. There is space and fixtures for a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. That leaves ample room, nearly 14 square metres, for a spacious bedroom towards the bow. The boxy design of Rise 55 offers significantly more interior space when compared to traditional yachts of similar dimensions.

The flybridge, on the upper level, offers 40 square metres of additional outdoor space for entertainment and dining. The flybridge also houses the boat’s navigation controls. Rise 55’s boxy design also translated to lower manufacturing costs compared to traditional yachts, which means a lower base cost for the customer.

Following the launch of the Rise 55, Wael Joujou, CEO of V-Marine, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Rise 55, an extraordinary houseboat that sets a new benchmark in luxury living on water. The combination of exceptional design, unmatched interior decoration, and affordability make this a truly unique offering. With Rise 55, we aim to provide our customers with an extraordinary yachting experience while also ensuring that it is accessible to a wider audience.”
