Celebrating Emirati Women’s Day with Light of Sakina’s Tajali Collection

In a poetic tribute to Emirati Women’s Day 2025, Dubai-based luxury scent house Light of Sakina unveils its newest signature creation — the Tajali Collection, a line of Mamool Bakhour blends that honour the beauty, resilience, and creativity of Emirati women. Tajali, an Arabic term meaning “the beauty within every living being, created and connected with divine energy”, becomes both a name and a philosophy, encapsulating the essence of women who continue to shape the nation with vision and grace.

The launch holds deeply personal resonance for founder Naila Rahim, whose journey began in Najaf, Iraq, where she taught candle-making to widows and orphans as a form of empowerment. This ethos remains at the heart of Light of Sakina’s mission today — to celebrate womanhood while weaving ancient traditions into modern luxury. Crafted with care in the brand’s Dubai atelier, the Tajali Collection brings together artistry, heritage, and innovation in three distinctive Mamool Bakhour blends, each carrying its own story.

Nasmah (????), meaning “a gentle breeze,” captures elegance and calm with notes of musk, amber, sandalwood, bergamot, mandarin, and rose water — a fragrance dedicated to womanhood. Sukoon (????), meaning “tranquility,” evokes serenity through layers of musk, amber, rose vanilla, and white florals, a reflection of the UAE and its visionary leadership. Finally, Asrar (?????), meaning “secrets,” unveils a mysterious, opulent blend of Dehen Al Oud Hindi, Turkish rose, and Indian nagarmotha, a composition dedicated to spirituality and divine connection. Together, the trio reflects both the diversity and depth of Emirati women’s stories.

Mamool Bakhour, a traditional form of incense crafted from oud chips, perfume oils, musk, amber, and florals, lies at the heart of this launch. Known for its sweet, layered complexity compared to raw oud, Mamool lingers long after it burns, infusing homes, garments, and gatherings with its signature elegance — an echo of the enduring presence of the women it honours.

To mark Emirati Women’s Day on 28th August 2025, Light of Sakina is set to take part in two landmark events. In collaboration with Dubai Holding at Madinat Jumeirah, the brand will host immersive workshops and performances, while at the Womenpreneurs x Emirati Summit at Hilton Al Habtoor, Naila Rahim will join a panel on business growth and creativity. Alongside these initiatives, Light of Sakina will curate a Scent Majlis, where women will be invited to experience the art of fragrance within the warmth of Arabian hospitality.

The Tajali Collection will be available exclusively at Light of Sakina’s flagship store in The Dubai Mall, as well as online through Ounass and the official website www.lightofsakina.com, beginning 28th August. More than a fragrance, it is an ode to the spirit of Emirati women — radiant, enduring, and forever connected to the divine beauty within.
