At the crossroads of contemporary art and fine jewelry, Repossi unveils its latest collaboration with American-Dutch artist Sterling Ruby — a dialogue between form, precision, and creative freedom. Presented in Paris during October 2025, the partnership introduces a limited-edition brooch that transcends ornamentation to become an object of sculptural reflection. It’s a conversation in gold and geometry — one that bridges the meticulous craftsmanship of Place Vendôme with the raw, expressive language of modern art.
Ruby, celebrated for his multidisciplinary works spanning sculpture, ceramics, and painting, brings his conceptual rigor to Repossi’s avant-garde universe. “Repossi’s approach is architectural and minimalist, yet open to disruption,” he says. This openness finds its echo in the brooch’s design, which draws from Ruby’s REIF series — wall-mounted reliefs assembled from salvaged wood and fragments of his late mother’s Pennsylvania barn. Reimagined in precious materials, the piece transforms humble origins into a constructivist masterpiece.

Crafted in 18K champagne gold and crowned with a 2.10 mm round diamond, the brooch captures a delicate balance between complexity and clarity. Every angle, chamfer, and line was refined through both traditional wax and 3D resin modeling — a technical achievement that elevates craftsmanship to near-sculptural perfection. Despite its clean simplicity, the brooch carries a quiet tension: between fragility and endurance, between art and adornment.
For Gaia Repossi, the brand’s Creative Director for Limited Editions, the collaboration continues a legacy of artistic partnerships — from Robert Mapplethorpe to Sterling Ruby — each expanding the Maison’s intellectual and aesthetic reach. “Sterling’s use of color, his aesthetic rigor, and his modern minimalism have always resonated deeply with me,” she reflects. “This project is about translating those ideas into something tangible — a wearable piece of art.”

Photographed by Melanie Schiff and Sarah Conaway at Ruby’s Los Angeles studio, the campaign captures this meeting of minds through shadow, texture, and reflection. Each numbered edition of the brooch embodies a distinct moment of creative convergence — a fusion of Ruby’s emotional abstraction and Repossi’s precision-led craftsmanship.
Repossi x Sterling Ruby stands as more than collaboration; it’s an exploration of what happens when two worlds — art and jewelry — surrender to each other. The result is not merely something to wear, but something to contemplate: a testament to mastery, memory, and the transformative power of creation itself.
