In 2021, we saw the launch of the first eyewear capsule by the Cucinelli fashion house and Oliver Peoples, an exclusive brand owned by the French-Italian EssilorLuxottica group. The following year, the two brands signed a 10-year licensing agreement.

This year, we have the first fruits of this agreement with the release of the very first “Brunello Cucinelli” branded eyewear collection. It will be on sale worldwide in the Solomeo-based brand’s main boutiques and leading multi-brand stores dedicated to eyewear.

Commenting on the collection, Francesco Milleri, Chairman and CEO of EssilorLuxottica, remarked: “The Brunello Cucinelli fashion house has succeeded in creating a new concept of luxury, fuelled by respect for labour and its dignity, which represents its true, deepest soul. We are bound by more than just an agreement.

“Brunello Cucinelli is not only a great entrepreneur but also a friend whom I respect and admire. The collection we helped to create under his and his family’s creative direction expresses all these values, perfectly combining technology and superior craftsmanship.”

The collection comprises a total of 14 designs, presented under five ranges. The largest of these is Multimaterico, which comprises seven designs. These glasses masterfully combine metal and acetate in a perfect blend of style and impeccable workmanship. The brand name becomes a subtle and elegant detail on the temples.

Inspired by Brunello Cucinelli’s high jewellery collections, the Trama range is for women, featuring feminine silhouettes and rounded sections. The temple features wonderfully intricate patterns.

The Stemma range embodies some of the highest manufacturing expertise in the eyewear world, featuring embedded cores, riveted hinges, and functional metal elements that are entirely custom-made.

The Pattern frames feature the unmistakable pattern inspired by Solomeo’s coat of arms, which is found on both the titanium and acetate models. Metal details with the BC initials embellish the temple tips.

The glasses in the Gemmae range are designed for women who embody understated elegance. These sculpted acetate frames enhance refined details through very fine constructions. The temples are embellished with two faceted metal light points, a tribute to the iconic Monile in the Brunello Cucinelli collections.
