For over a century, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has been synonymous with refined hospitality, and nowhere is this legacy more vividly expressed than on its collection of world-class golf courses. From the dramatic clifftops of Scotland to the lush jungles of Mexico and the sun-drenched fairways of California, Fairmont invites guests to experience the perfect fusion of championship play, awe-inspiring scenery, and impeccable service. Each course is more than just a sporting venue; it is a destination in its own right, designed to stir both the senses and the soul.

In the Canadian Rockies, Fairmont Banff Springs and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge stand as legendary landmarks of mountain golf. Banff’s iconic 27-hole course sweeps through Banff National Park, highlighted by the breathtaking “Devil’s Cauldron” par-3, while Jasper Park Lodge, celebrating its centennial season, enchants players with historic Stanley Thompson design and a rejuvenated course layout. These alpine retreats showcase how golf, nature, and history can converge in spectacular harmony.

On Canada’s western coast, Fairmont Chateau Whistler continues the tradition of elevated play with its rugged alpine terrain and over 400 feet of elevation change. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course challenges even seasoned golfers while rewarding them with glacier-fed creeks and granite outcrops. Guests can extend the experience at the Leadbetter Golf Academy, the only one of its kind in Canada, before retreating to the luxurious mountain resort.

Across the border in the United States, Fairmont’s courses reflect the country’s diverse landscapes and golfing heritage. At Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, the historic Sonoma Golf Club lies hidden among vineyards and rolling hills, while San Diego’s Fairmont Grand Del Mar offers Tom Fazio’s only design in the region, where cascading waterfalls and canyon backdrops transform each round into a cinematic moment. Both destinations combine the exclusivity of private clubs with the warmth of Fairmont hospitality.

For those seeking tropical vibrancy, Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico delivers a completely different rhythm. Greg Norman’s El Camaleón course meanders through mangroves, jungles, and Caribbean beachfront, earning recognition as one of the few courses worldwide to host PGA Tour, LIV Golf League, and LPGA events. With its Audubon certification, it is as committed to conservation as it is to championship play. Here, golfers are invited to tee off in paradise, where every hole offers a new perspective on beauty and biodiversity.

In Europe, Fairmont brings tradition and prestige into sharp focus. Carton House in Ireland, set within 1,100 acres of historic parkland, features two award-winning courses that have hosted the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, while Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland perches high above the “home of golf,” overlooking dramatic coastlines and medieval skylines. Here, packages like the Golfers Dream or Unlimited Golf elevate a trip into a pilgrimage, blending sporting challenge with the cultural richness of the region.

Further south, Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol represents a new jewel in the collection. Nestled along Spain’s Mediterranean coast, the resort offers two championship courses—Links and Heathland—that combine Andalusian charm with sweeping sea views. It is a setting where golfers can transition seamlessly from the green to the azure waters, indulging in both play and leisure with equal finesse.

What unites these diverse destinations is a philosophy rooted in thoughtful design, sustainability, and a commitment to extraordinary experiences. Each course reflects not only the landscape in which it lies but also the heritage of the communities it belongs to. By blending architectural mastery with natural wonder, Fairmont ensures that a round of golf becomes more than a sport—it becomes a story to be remembered long after the final putt.

Today, with 19 iconic golf destinations across the globe, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts continues to shape the future of luxury golf travel. Whether guests seek the history of St Andrews, the wilderness of the Rockies, or the coastal beauty of Spain and Mexico, they will find a course that embodies excellence, elegance, and the timeless spirit of the Fairmont name.
