At this year’s Monterey Car Week, where the world’s most exclusive motoring events converge on California’s coast, Rimac Automobili returned with a celebration of innovation, performance, and community. The Croatian marque, renowned for redefining the boundaries of electric hypercars, used the week to spotlight the Nevera R, alongside customer examples of the Nevera and the limited Nevera Time Attack.
The atmosphere was deliberately intimate, reflecting Rimac’s close-knit relationship with its growing community of collectors and enthusiasts. Guests gathered at two private residences nestled in the Monterey hills, where design, engineering, and lifestyle converged in the brand’s signature understated yet powerful style.

One of the focal points was the BINGO House, operated for the week by BINGO Sports — Rimac and Bugatti’s specialized dealer in Tokyo. Here, the Nevera R was presented in all its glory: a 2,107 hp all-electric hypercar that earlier this year shattered 24 performance records, setting a new standard for what an EV is capable of.
Customer-owned Neveras and Nevera Time Attack models added to the spectacle, their presence not limited to static displays. The cars were frequently spotted on the roads of Monterey, their futuristic silhouettes and near-silent acceleration turning heads against the backdrop of vintage Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and McLarens that typically dominate the week.

A private Rimac party further emphasized the brand’s unique positioning. Owners, executives, and friends of the marque gathered for an evening that blended conviviality with automotive passion, a reminder that Rimac isn’t just building cars but cultivating a global community bound by innovation and performance. Bugatti Rimac executives also joined, underscoring the shared future of two of the most technologically advanced automotive brands in the world.
“The passion and energy here are unlike anywhere else,” said Mate Rimac, Founder and President of the Rimac Group, as well as CEO of Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Technology. “It’s a chance for us to connect with our customers, showcase our latest developments, and immerse ourselves in a community that truly celebrates cars.”

The Nevera R, which made its dynamic debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this summer, represents the evolution of the Nevera from Hyper GT to Hyper Sports Car. Every major component has been re-engineered, resulting in 15% more downforce and nearly 200 hp additional power — refinements that not only elevate performance but also enhance the car’s dynamic precision.
Seen in motion throughout the week, the Nevera R embodied the spirit of Monterey: a fusion of art, engineering, and spectacle. For those fortunate enough to secure one, with first customer deliveries expected by year’s end, the car is more than a hypercar — it is a statement about the future of high-performance motoring.

By the close of Monterey Car Week, Rimac had once again asserted its place at the forefront of automotive innovation. Where heritage brands showcase their legacies, Rimac presents a glimpse of tomorrow — one in which electrification, performance, and craftsmanship exist in thrilling harmony.
