Ferrari has introduced the Amalfi Spider, a new front-mid-engine V8 convertible designed to combine exhilarating performance with everyday usability. The 2+ spider embodies Ferrari’s modern sporting lifestyle, offering open-air driving without compromising comfort or practicality. With its elegant silhouette and advanced engineering, the model delivers a refined balance between dynamic capability and relaxed grand touring.

At the heart of the Amalfi Spider lies a twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 640 horsepower, delivering immediate throttle response and a progressively rising power curve. The powertrain represents the latest evolution of Ferrari’s renowned F154 engine family, enhanced through advanced turbocharging management and improved engine control systems. These refinements ensure sharper responsiveness while maintaining the distinctive character expected from a Ferrari V8.

The car’s design follows a fluid and minimalist philosophy, emphasising sculpted surfaces and clean proportions. A long bonnet and wide air intake define the front, while the rear features an integrated active spoiler that enhances stability at high speeds. Forged wheels and carbon-fibre detailing complete the athletic aesthetic, reinforcing the car’s dynamic presence on the road.

Central to the Spider’s identity is its lightweight fabric soft top, engineered to preserve the proportions of the coupe even when the roof is open. The roof opens in just 13.5 seconds and can operate while the car is moving, offering seamless transitions between coupe-like comfort and open-air driving. Its compact design also maximises luggage capacity, making the car suitable for both everyday journeys and extended weekend escapes.

Inside, the Amalfi Spider adopts a dual-cockpit architecture that visually separates the driver and passenger while maintaining a cohesive interior design. A minimalist dashboard integrates digital displays and tactile controls, including the return of Ferrari’s iconic start button. The cockpit blends advanced technology with refined materials, creating an environment that feels both sophisticated and driver-focused.

The vehicle’s aerodynamic design plays a crucial role in performance and stability. An active rear wing automatically adjusts between multiple configurations depending on speed and driving conditions, optimising downforce and efficiency. Additional aerodynamic solutions, including an optimised rear diffuser and airflow management systems, enhance overall stability while maintaining the elegance of the design.

Ferrari has also integrated advanced driving technologies to enhance control and safety. Systems such as brake-by-wire, Side Slip Control and an advanced ABS platform work together to deliver precise braking and improved stability across different road conditions. Combined with the engaging dynamics of Ferrari’s chassis architecture, the Amalfi Spider offers a driving experience that merges open-air freedom with the performance heritage of Maranello.
