The culinary landscape of Dubai’s DIFC has reached a new zenith with the official arrival of Gymkhana. The London-born institution, holder of two Michelin stars, has formally unveiled its presence at Gate Village, Building 7, marking a significant milestone for the city’s fine dining scene. Known for its sophisticated take on authentic Indian cuisine and impeccable hospitality, Gymkhana brings a slice of Mayfair’s refined heritage to the heart of the Emirates.
Rooted in the rich culinary traditions of India, the menu is a masterclass in bold, layered flavors. Guests can expect a journey through Nashta, Kebabs, Tikkas, and signature Curries that have defined the brand’s global reputation. While London favorites like the Kid Goat Methi Keema & Salli and Tandoori Masala Lamb Chops remain essential orders, the Dubai outpost introduces several exclusive creations. These include the decadent Wagyu Beef Sukka with Bone Marrow, Imli Black Cod paired with Peanut Chutney, and the indulgent Goat Shank Nihari, each designed to resonate with the city’s discerning palate.
The venue itself, designed by Samuel Hosker of North End Design in collaboration with Karam Sethi, is a thoughtful evolution of the original Mayfair flagship. Spanning two levels with an additional terrace, the interiors pay homage to the elite social and sporting clubs of India. A recalibrated palette of warmer timbers and lighter green hues creates a bright yet characterful atmosphere, ensuring the elegance of the brand remains intact while adapting to its new Middle Eastern setting.
Founded by the Sethi siblings of JKS Restaurants, Gymkhana’s reputation precedes it. Since its London debut in 2013, it has become one of the UK’s most sought-after dining experiences, securing its second Michelin star in 2024. Now open nightly for dinner from 6:30 PM, the restaurant is set to introduce lunch service this coming October, further cementing its position as a cornerstone of Dubai’s luxury gastronomic circuit.
