Inspired by the Arabian Gulf’s rich pearl diving heritage, Bentley has created a truly special collector’s edition of its flagship SUV. Limited to just five pieces, the Bentayga Mulliner Pearl of the Gulf is super exclusive. Each of these exquisite examples will be hand-built by Mulliner’s craftspeople in Crewe, England, featuring unique Mother of Pearl and Arabian Gulf-themed motifs.

Intricate marquetry on the Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus fascia creates a pearl diving dhow boat scene, beautifully inlaid with Mother of Pearl. A Mother of Pearl Breitling clock has pride of place as the dashboard centrepiece. The luxurious cabin is appointed with Linen main hide and complemented by Brunel secondary hide, a colour scheme inspired by the natural beauty of pearls. Camel and Brunel contrast stitching is employed for the quilted seats and door inserts, while gold thread embroidery spells out “Pearl of the Gulf” and the car’s serial number out of five. Lambswool rugs are cut in matching Linen.

For security, Mulliner has installed a high-pressure die-cast aluminium secure stowage unit located in the cabin which is secured by state-of-the-art fingerprint sensor technology. This discreet and unobtrusive locker creates the ideal place to stow valuables while at the beach or utilising valet parking services.

The exterior is available in 3 Mulliner colour finishes: Ghost White Pearlescent, Porcelain, or a duo-tone Ghost White Pearlescent over Porcelain. The Pearl of the Gulf sits on 22-inch Paragon wheels.

Mulliner, whose roots date back to the 1500s, made its name building luxurious horse-drawn carriages. Mulliner officially became part of Bentley Motors in 1959, but its association with Bentley goes back to 1923 when it built its variant of a two-seater, three-litre Bentley. In 1953, Mulliner coachbuilt the R-Type Continental which inspired the design of today’s Continental GT. These are just two of the important landmarks models from a very long list that resulted in the strong bond between Bentley and Mulliner. Since becoming part of Bentley, Mulliner has focused on fulfilling the requirements of Bentley’s most discerning customers – the kind of personalisation that creates a unique Bentley for every individual taste.
