The BMW Z4 Final Edition marks the elegant conclusion of one of BMW’s most celebrated chapters in roadster craftsmanship. As production of the Z4 draws to a close in March 2026, the brand presents a limited-edition farewell that captures the essence of the iconic model while elevating it with exclusive touches. Since its debut in 2002, the Z4 has embodied BMW’s philosophy of pure driving pleasure—open-air motoring fused with sporting energy.

This Final Edition distinguishes itself with an exterior treatment that immediately sets it apart. Available exclusively for this edition, the Frozen Matt Black paint finish conveys a bold, sculptural intensity that accentuates the roadster’s sleek proportions. Paired with M High-gloss Shadowline accents, it gives the Z4 a commanding presence on the road. The included M Sport brakes in High-gloss Red further enhance its dynamic character, blending performance and style with unmistakable precision.

Inside, the Z4 Final Edition continues the theme of exclusivity with carefully tailored details. Contrasting red stitching, selected uniquely for this version, runs across the instrument panel, center console, door trims, and M Sport seats upholstered in Vernasca Leather and Alcantara. An M Alcantara steering wheel with matching stitching reinforces the car’s purposeful design, while custom-engraved door sill plates underscore its limited-edition status.

The Z4’s journey is one defined by heritage and continued evolution. Its lineage can be traced back to BMW’s legendary open-top sports cars, including the 328 Roadster, the 507, and the Z8. When the first Z4 launched in 2002, it brought a new design language and exceptional torsional rigidity to the segment, further complemented by its near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution. The first-generation Z4 M Roadster, with its 340 hp inline-six engine, quickly became a favorite among purists seeking focused performance.

The second-generation Z4, unveiled in 2008, introduced a significant shift with its electro-hydraulic retractable hardtop. Combining coupe-like refinement with roadster freedom, it broadened the car’s appeal. It also marked the debut of the BMW iDrive infotainment system in the Z4 lineup, reflecting BMW’s commitment to blending driving dynamics with cutting-edge technology.
