This November, Car & Classic, Europe’s leading online marketplace for classic and collectible cars, launches its first-ever Collector Edition Auction, a landmark event celebrating the world’s most iconic and desirable automobiles. Blending the sophistication of traditional auctions with the accessibility of digital bidding, the sale presents a meticulously curated collection of over 30 rare vehicles, available exclusively through Car & Classic’s secure online platform.
The Collector Edition sale, now open for viewing and pre-bidding, will conclude online at 3 pm GMT on Saturday, 15 November 2025. The auction spans eras and marques, featuring handpicked classics and modern legends, offering collectors the opportunity to acquire museum-worthy automobiles from the comfort of their homes. The total collection, valued between £6 million and £10 million, underscores Car & Classic’s growing influence in the premium segment of the global collector car market.

Among the headline offerings is an ultra-rare 1980 Lamborghini Countach LP400 S Series II, one of just 105 units ever produced. Finished in its original Argento Metallizzato paint and powered by a 3.9-litre V12 engine delivering 370 horsepower, this model epitomises Italian performance artistry. Capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds and topping out at 264 km/h, it represents a pure expression of 1980s supercar culture, complete with hand-finished interiors and the Countach’s signature scissor doors.
Equally captivating is the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Sports Saloon, presented in Silver Birch over Elephant Grey leather, an unmistakable homage to the legendary Goldfinger Bond car. Once owned and restored by John Taylor, bassist and founding member of Duran Duran, this DB5 merges cinematic heritage with music history. With comprehensive restorations by GTC Engineering and Shapecraft, and an upgraded 4.2-litre straight-six engine paired with a manual gearbox, it stands as one of the finest examples of the British icon available today.
Adding further depth to the lineup is a 1960 Bentley S2 Continental Flying Spur Sports Saloon, one of just 49 left-hand-drive examples built by H.J. Mulliner, showcasing post-war elegance at its finest. Alongside it, a 1962 Citroën DS21 Chapron Coupé demonstrates French coachbuilding artistry, a rare sight even among seasoned collectors. These vehicles, among others in the sale, represent the diversity and prestige of European motoring history.

Tom Wood, CEO at Car & Classic, commented: “When we established Car & Classic auctions in 2020, our goal was to redefine the sub-£100k classic car market—and we’ve succeeded, becoming the largest classic auction house in the UK. The Collector Edition marks our natural evolution into the high-end segment, bringing together some of the world’s most collectible vehicles in one seamless online experience.”
Further elevating the excitement around the launch, Chris Harris, former Top Gear presenter and renowned automotive journalist, has lent his expertise to the event with an exclusive behind-the-scenes walkthrough. His commentary offers collectors an in-depth perspective on the significance and craftsmanship behind each featured vehicle.
