In the frozen landscapes of Norway, the Lucid Air Grand Touring reaffirmed its reputation for efficiency by achieving the longest range at the 2026 NAF Winter Test “El Prix.” Covering 520 kilometers in temperatures that plunged to minus 31 degrees Celsius, the all-electric sedan navigated city traffic, highways, mountain roads and snow-covered terrain without a single charging stop. The next closest competitor recorded 421 kilometers, underscoring the scale of the achievement.

Held twice annually, the Norges Automobil-Forbund Winter Test is widely regarded as the world’s largest real-world evaluation of electric vehicles under Nordic conditions. Vehicles begin fully charged in Oslo and traverse a demanding course through Lillehammer and Dombås before repeating a highland stretch until they can no longer maintain the speed limit. In 2026, 24 EVs participated, making the Lucid result all the more decisive.

The performance builds on a series of milestones for the Silicon Valley-based automaker. In summer 2025, the same model set a new NAF Summer Test record at 828.6 kilometers. It also holds the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the longest journey by an electric car on a single charge, having traveled 1,205 kilometers in July 2025, reinforcing its dominance in long-distance electric mobility.

At the heart of the Lucid Air Grand Touring lies the brand’s proprietary electric powertrain technology. With a WLTP-rated range of up to 960 kilometers and a combined consumption of 13.5 kWh per 100 kilometers, the sedan establishes a benchmark in its segment. Delivering 611 kW (831 PS) and reaching a top speed of 270 kilometers per hour, it pairs performance credentials with remarkable efficiency.

Rapid charging further enhances practicality, allowing up to 400 kilometers of additional range in just 16 minutes. Designed to accommodate five passengers in a refined and spacious cabin, the vehicle blends advanced engineering with understated luxury, reflecting Lucid’s commitment to both innovation and comfort.
