Mercedes-Benz Unveils the All-New CLA in a Grand Premiere at Villa Miani, Rome

In a spectacular launch event at the iconic Villa Miani in Rome, Mercedes-Benz introduced the all-new CLA, heralding a new era of intelligent and sustainable automotive design. The star-studded evening brought together an elite mix of cultural icons, including Romeo Beckham, Camila Cabello, Will.i.am, and Ice Spice, culminating in an electrifying live performance by South African sensation Tyla.

Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, described the CLA as “the most efficient and intelligent Mercedes we’ve ever made,” emphasizing its groundbreaking advancements in both technology and performance. Offered in a fully electric version with an impressive 792 km range and a high-tech hybrid model, the CLA represents a significant leap in luxury vehicle engineering.

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the ‘Class of Creators’ initiative, a cross-disciplinary collaboration featuring Ice Spice, Swedish interior designer Gustaf Westman, fashion visionary Colm Dillane, gaming powerhouse League of Legends, and legendary toy brand Hot Wheels. Each participant will create innovative CLA-inspired projects that will be showcased at exclusive events throughout the year, blending automotive excellence with diverse creative disciplines.

Equipped with the state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the new CLA integrates cutting-edge AI capabilities from both Microsoft and Google, setting new standards for personalization and human-vehicle interaction. The car’s revolutionary 800-volt electric architecture significantly enhances efficiency, enabling ultra-fast charging that adds 325 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Bettina Fetzer, VP of Mercedes-Benz Digital & Communications, underscored the significance of choosing Rome as the backdrop for this milestone event. “Rome’s rich history in culture, art, and design makes it the perfect stage to unveil our most advanced CLA,” she noted, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to blending tradition with modernity.

Sustainability remains at the core of the CLA’s design philosophy, with a 40% reduction in carbon footprint compared to its predecessor. The vehicle incorporates a substantial amount of recycled materials, including Econyl yarn in the floor coverings and eco-conscious seat structures, setting a new benchmark for environmentally responsible luxury.

With its fusion of AI-driven innovation, striking aesthetics, and an unwavering commitment to sustainability, the all-new CLA redefines luxury mobility. Its world premiere in Rome signals not only a bold step forward for Mercedes-Benz but also a glimpse into the future of intelligent and sustainable automotive design.
