Mansory, the luxury cars modification specialist firm, and luxury fashion house Philipp Plein have teamed up for the second time to create a limited edition of the recently released G-Wagon by Mercedes Benz. The outcome, a very unconventional supercar named “Star Trooper,” which pushes the envelope in terms of technology and design.

Only 20 individuals will be able to enjoy this premium all-terrain vehicle as its production is strictly limited with a price tag that starts from EUR 550,000.

The “Star Trooper” has the same 4.0-litre V8 engine as the standard G 63 AMG but with bigger turbochargers producing 850 bhp or 625 kW instead of the 585 bhp, while the maximum torque goes up from 850 to 1,000 Nm. These numbers translate to a reduced 0 to 100 kmph sprint time of just 3.5 seconds and an increase in the top speed to 250 kmph. The engine enhancements are complemented by new downpipes and a high-performance exhaust system which are controlled uing re-programmed electronics system.

The interior features Mansory saddlery made from flawless leather, sports steering wheel with airbag and aluminium pedals. The visible carbon applications, combined with Philipp Plein logos bear witness to the artistry of the collaboration between the two luxury companies.

All the aerodynamic elements from the front apron, to the side widening elements, and right up to the rear apron have been made from carbon fibre which is compressed in a special pressure chamber as part of the autoclave prepreg process, so that no air bubbles remain in the material. This cost-intensive process is usually only used in air travel and aerospace applications. The exterior colour scheme is called “50 shades of Grey Camouflage,” and is complemented by Red LED stars-roof. The “Star Trooper” runs on high-performance tyres attached to single-piece M23 forged wheels which Mansory presents to the world for the very first time.
