A Timeless Masterpiece
The Icons of Porsche 2024 festival, a highlight for luxury car enthusiasts, is set to host an extraordinary event: the online auction of the one-off Porsche 911 Turbo Remastered. First revealed at last year’s Icons of Porsche festival in Dubai, this exceptional car pays homage to the original 911 Turbo prototype gifted to Louise Piëch, daughter of Ferdinand Porsche, in 1974. The auction will begin on Wednesday, November 20th, and culminate live on stage on Sunday, November 24th, adding a thrilling finale to the festival.
A Symbol of Porsche’s Legacy
The one-of-a-kind 911 Turbo Remastered is a modern tribute to Porsche’s original 911 Turbo prototype. Created in collaboration between Style Porsche, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, and Porsche Middle East, this special project represents the pinnacle of bespoke craftsmanship. With Porsche’s famous Sonderwunsch program, the design pushes the boundaries of personalisation, allowing for the creation of a truly unique vehicle.
“Icons of Porsche has cemented itself as the annual highlight for the car community in this region, and RM Sotheby’s is truly excited to be a part of this year’s festival,” commented Duccio Lopresto, Business Development Director, RM Sotheby’s.
Exclusive Features and Elegance
The 911 Turbo Remastered mirrors the original prototype with its GT Silver exterior, striking black Fuchs alloy wheels, and a hand-stitched interior featuring the red and blue Tartan fabric chosen by Piëch herself. The car’s stunning two-tone interior features a Lipstick Red and black combination, custom details like the Turbo lettering on the headrests, and a heritage-inspired green illuminated dial.
With its powerful six-cylinder engine, the Remastered Turbo achieves 580 PS, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. More than just speed, this car is an icon of exclusivity and heritage, offering car collectors an unparalleled blend of history and modernity.
Crafting Dreams: The Sonderwunsch Program
Porsche’s renowned Sonderwunsch program, translating to “special request” in German, allows customers to create one-of-a-kind vehicles that reflect their personal style. The program reinterprets the legendary 1970s approach, allowing enthusiasts to co-create bespoke Porsches down to every detail. From paint finishes to interior fabrics and unique body elements, the options are limitless.
This auction at the Icons of Porsche 2024 festival is not just a sale but an invitation for car enthusiasts to dream, design, and drive a true automotive masterpiece.
