Corinthia Rome Opens a New Grand Boutique Chapter in the Eternal City

Corinthia Rome marks the brand’s debut in Italy with the opening of an intimate grand boutique hotel set within one of the capital’s most storied addresses. Housed in a former early 20th-century financial institution in the heart of Campo Marzio, the property introduces a refined new chapter in Roman hospitality, where history, design and contemporary culture converge with quiet confidence.

The building itself is integral to the experience. Originally designed by architect Marcello Piacentini, its transformation has carefully preserved original marble panelling, frescoes and carved wood, while introducing contemporary interiors that respect the structure’s gravitas. Spread across multiple levels, the hotel feels residential rather than monumental, offering a sense of privacy rarely found in the historic centre.

With a limited collection of rooms and suites, Corinthia Rome places emphasis on space, light and thoughtful detailing. Each accommodation balances restored architectural elements with modern Italian craftsmanship, creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and current. The suites, in particular, reflect the building’s past through distinctive layouts, terraces and heritage features adapted for modern living.

Dining plays a defining role in the hotel’s identity. The culinary concept has been envisioned as a reflection of Rome itself, blending tradition with modern expression. Multiple dining spaces unfold throughout the property, from a relaxed courtyard setting to a refined signature restaurant and an atmospheric bar that draws inspiration from the city’s shifting light and colours.

Wellbeing is discreetly embedded within the hotel’s narrative. Located inside the building’s former vault, the spa introduces a sanctuary of calm beneath the city. Here, treatments draw on restorative rituals and contemporary techniques, offering guests a counterpoint to Rome’s sensory richness through stillness, balance and thoughtful design.

Beyond its walls, Corinthia Rome is deeply connected to its surroundings. Set moments from the Pantheon and the city’s most emblematic piazzas, the hotel acts as a gateway to artisan workshops, cultural institutions and lesser-known neighbourhood stories. Curated experiences encourage guests to explore Rome at a measured pace, guided by local insight rather than spectacle.

As Rome enters a new era of luxury hospitality, Corinthia Rome positions itself as an understated yet significant addition. Rooted in heritage but forward-looking in spirit, it offers a refined address for travellers seeking depth, discretion and a sense of belonging within the Eternal City.
