Rocco Forte Hotels is thrilled to announce the exclusive “Italy at 100 MPH” experience, an exhilarating sports car journey spanning nine Italian regions and featuring stays at eight luxurious hotels. This unforgettable adventure offers guests the chance to explore Italy’s stunning countryside in a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Maserati, whether as a couple, a family, or a group of up to forty sports cars.

The route takes travellers through the verdant vineyards of Tuscany, along roads that date back to the Roman Empire, through the Eternal City of Rome, and concludes in the Mediterranean paradise of Sicily. This four-wheel excursion can be driven independently, with a driver, or with an escort vehicle upon request, offering flexibility to suit all preferences.

From a one-day itinerary to an epic ten-day tour, “Italy at 100 MPH” provides various combinations of journeys by sports car, passing through Tuscany, Lazio, Umbria, Abruzzo, Campania, Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata, and Sicily. After thrilling days on the road, guests can immerse themselves in the culture of each region while staying at one of the luxurious Rocco Forte Hotels.

  • Hotel de Russie, Rome
  • Roco Forte House, Rome
  • Hotel de la Ville, Rome
  • Masseria Torre Maizza, Puglia

Guests will be hosted at Hotel Savoy in Florence; Hotel de Russie, Hotel de la Ville, and Rocco Forte House in Rome; Masseria Torre Maizza in Puglia; and Villa Igiea, Verdura Resort, and Rocco Forte Private Villas in Sicily. Each hotel offers a unique blend of luxury and local charm, providing the perfect setting to unwind after a day of adventure.

“Italy at 100 MPH” is more than just a road trip; it’s a new and exciting way to experience Italy’s cultural, artistic, and gastronomic heritage. Guests can create their own itinerary, tailoring the journey to their interests and schedule. Drivers can even star in their own movie-like masterpiece, reminiscent of classic Italian cinema, with the option to employ a professional videographer and drone operator to document the journey.

Starting in the summer of 2024, the “Italy at 100 MPH” experience includes a host of exclusive features:

  • Lead car and car valet service
  • Parking management with interior and exterior cleaning service
  • Vehicle refueling and luggage transportation
  • Walkie-talkies for easy communication between participants and the technical support team, ensuring a pleasant and safe driving experience

Among the available sports cars are Ferrari 296 GTS, Ferrari Portofino, Ferrari F8 Spider, and Ferrari 812 Superfast. The experience can also be personalized with the option of driving vintage cars, adding a touch of classic elegance to the journey.

Rocco Forte Hotels, in collaboration with 100 all’ora, has curated a selection of itineraries to showcase the heart of Italy. Whether feasible within a day or part of a longer tour, each route offers further customization options. Some of the proposed itineraries include:

  • From Florence to Rome, passing through Greve in Chianti, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and Siena, or alternatively, Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, and Orvieto.
  • From Rome to Abruzzo, stopping at Santo Stefano di Sessani and Torre Medicea.
  • From Rome to Caserta, with a tour of the Royal Palace of Caserta and lunch at the Feudi Di San Gregorio winery.
  • From Masseria Torre Maizza to Lecce, passing through Gallipoli.
  • From Matera to Alberobello, stopping in Polignano a Mare.
  • From Palermo to Sciacca, with stops in Erice and Marsala.
  • From Sciacca to Palermo, with stops in Selinunte and Marsala.

This unique road trip promises to be an unforgettable adventure, blending the thrill of high-speed travel with the elegance and comfort of Italy’s finest hotels.
