Tap into Home: The Other House Introduces a Wellbeing-Led Anti-Homesickness Experience

Moving to a new city, especially one as dynamic and overwhelming as London, can be as daunting as it is exciting. For many students, professionals, and expatriates, the thrill of a fresh start often comes with the quieter weight of homesickness. Recognising this, The Other House South Kensington has launched Tap into Home, a first-of-its-kind four-week programme designed to ease the transition into London life.

Unlike traditional hospitality offerings, Tap into Home blends wellbeing therapies with curated community experiences, reflecting the property’s unique positioning as a “Residents’ Club” where short and long-term stays merge seamlessly with the vibrancy of a private members’ club. From September 1st, long-stay residents can add the package to their stay, tailoring the experience to their personal needs.

At the heart of the programme lies a focus on emotional resilience. Through guided hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), guests are introduced to practical tools that reduce stress, anxiety, and negative self-talk, helping them adjust more smoothly to new surroundings. Week by week, the programme evolves: from easing in with personal sessions and introductions at House Connect, to unwinding with Pilates and vitality pool access, and later, immersing into London life through cultural experiences and community events. By the final week, residents are equipped not only with wellbeing practices but also with a sense of belonging.

What makes Tap into Home distinctive is its combination of structured support and organic community-building. Beyond individual therapy, residents are invited into the rhythms of The Other House: live jazz evenings, reading clubs, and curated outings to cultural institutions such as the Royal Albert Hall. These experiences extend the idea of “home” beyond four walls, encouraging connections that anchor newcomers in a city that can otherwise feel transient.

The Other House itself is an ideal setting for such a concept. Its “British Maximalist” interiors strike the balance between sanctuary and social hub, with richly layered spaces that feel personal yet dynamic. The Club Flats—complete with a sitting room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom—are designed for any length of stay, blending apartment-style independence with the comforts of a boutique hotel. Residents also enjoy access to The Club’s vitality pool, lounges, and 24/7 gym, along with The Other Kitchen and the Owl & Monkey bar, both popular with London locals.

CEO and Founder Naomi Heaton’s vision has always been to create more than just accommodation. With Covent Garden opening later this year and Belgravia on the horizon, The Other House continues to evolve as a home-from-home for the globally mobile. Tap into Home reinforces this philosophy by addressing not just the physical comforts of living, but also the emotional journey of relocating.

With long-stay rates from £950 per week and the Tap into Home package available as a £1,000 add-on for stays over a month, the offering sits at the intersection of wellness and lifestyle. It’s not about luxury for its own sake, but about creating an environment where people can thrive—mentally, emotionally, and socially—as they navigate new chapters of their lives in London.
