The Chedi Al Bait, the boutique luxury hotel in the historical heart of Sharjah, has unveiled The Serai Wing. This extension to Bait Khalid Bin Ibrahim – a restored pearl merchant’s 20th-century family home – adds twelve new suites with access to a private pool and an outdoor seating area.

The prestigious residence of the pearl merchant, Khalid bin Ibrahim, which stood as a testament to elegance over a century ago, has been lovingly resorted by Shurooq – The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority. Imbued with the splendour of traditional Emirati architecture, the house boasts high ceilings, wooden beams, exquisite stonework, modern lighting, and a neutral colour palette. The house is now part of The Chedi Al Bait Hotel, managed by the General Hotel Management (GMH) group.

The new Serai Wing of Bait Khalid Bin Ibrahim showcases twelve new suites spread across two houses, each boasting a private pool and outdoor seating area. This project was conceived with discerning visitors in mind who appreciate the fusion of luxury and heritage.

As guests enter each of the two houses that make up the new wing, they are greeted by an enchanting courtyard adorned with a sparkling pool and surrounded by historic architecture, which includes an unchanged spiral staircase that leads to the second floor.

The first house within the new wing offers five luxurious guest rooms, one immaculate suite, a jacuzzi, and views of the pool area, where an indigenous tree filters bright sunlight. The second building features a private lounge, a yoga and Pilates movement studio and a dining room.

Guests can also choose to indulge in one of the four luxury rooms, and two suites, with the duplex Khalid Grand Suite. It features a living room and private dining terrace on the ground floor, a bedroom on the first floor, and a balcony overlooking the outdoor courtyards.

Visitors can also access Chedi Al Bait’s amenities, including its restaurants serving local and international cuisine in a setting frozen in time. For those special occasions, guests can also reserve the entire house for gatherings with family and friends, or to host special events.
