Rosewood Hotels & Resorts unveils Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, the brand’s first dedicated ski resort and its second property in mainland France. Located in the prestigious Jardin Alpin district of Courchevel 1850, the property offers direct ski-in, ski-out access to Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest interconnected ski area. Blending contemporary design with alpine heritage, the resort introduces a refined approach to mountain hospitality rooted in craftsmanship and local culture.
Designed by acclaimed French interior designer Tristan Auer, the property takes the form of an eclectic luxury chalet inspired by the glamour of alpine travel during the 1960s. The hotel features 51 rooms and suites, including three signature houses, creating an intimate retreat in one of Courchevel’s most exclusive addresses. Through thoughtful architecture and tactile materials, the property reflects Rosewood’s philosophy of place-driven design and immersive guest experiences.

The resort’s architecture combines natural stone, wood, and copper to create a warm alpine atmosphere that connects with the surrounding landscape. The façade incorporates Vals Quartzite quarried in the Swiss mountains, while the entrance door is hand-carved from locally sourced wood. These artisanal elements establish a strong sense of craftsmanship, celebrating the natural beauty and heritage of the region.
Inside, each room and suite is designed as a refined alpine residence offering a continuous dialogue with the surrounding peaks. Private terraces allow guests to take in sweeping mountain views, while bespoke details such as illuminated Himalayan salt installations create soft ambient lighting. The interiors combine sculptural design with organic textures, delivering a sense of warmth and tranquillity after a day on the slopes.

Art plays a central role throughout the property, forming an integral part of the guest journey. Installations by internationally recognised artists create striking visual moments across the hotel. From crystalline reflections in the lobby to handcrafted textile works and sculptural copper installations, each piece reinforces the property’s dialogue between contemporary art and alpine tradition.
Dining takes centre stage at SALTO, the resort’s signature restaurant led by Chef Gioia Baek. Inspired by the culinary traditions of the Italian Alps, the restaurant evolves throughout the day, welcoming guests with relaxed mountain dining before transforming into an elegant evening destination. The panoramic terrace invites skiers directly from the slopes to enjoy classic alpine dishes, while the lounge hosts lively après-ski gatherings beside the fire.

Wellness is anchored by the Asaya Spa, Rosewood’s integrative wellness concept designed to support recovery after alpine adventures. Treatments focus on relaxation, revitalisation, and muscle recovery, complemented by facilities including a sauna, hammam, pool, and fitness suite. With curated ski experiences, family-focused activities, and a design philosophy rooted in discovery, Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin establishes itself as a modern centrepiece of alpine luxury and exploration.
