The Oberoi Group Introduces Naila Fort, a Private Heritage Residence near Jaipur

High above the open countryside outside Jaipur, Naila Fort emerges as a rare invitation to step into Rajasthan’s living history. The Oberoi Group’s first luxury residence unfolds within a 19th-century fort, where architecture, landscape, and hospitality come together in quiet harmony. It is a place shaped not for spectacle, but for stillness, discretion, and deeply personal stays.

Originally built in 1849 by the Champawat clan, the fort has been meticulously conserved and thoughtfully reimagined as an intimate four-bedroom private residence. Its restoration honours the original spirit of the structure, allowing history to remain present rather than preserved. Every detail reflects a balance between reverence for the past and the understated refinement for which Oberoi is known.

Set on a gentle hilltop, the residence offers sweeping views across the countryside and toward the Aravalli hills. The sense of seclusion is immediate, heightened by the fort’s positioning and natural surroundings. Yet Jaipur’s cultural heart remains close, allowing guests to move effortlessly between tranquil retreat and vibrant heritage.

Sunlit courtyards, carved archways, elegant salons, and expansive terraces define the fort’s character. Antique furnishings, curated artworks, and original architectural details evoke its noble lineage. These elements are complemented by contemporary comforts and attentive, unobtrusive service that allows the space to feel like a private home rather than a hotel.

Life at Naila Fort is guided entirely by the rhythm of its guests. A traditional Ganesh Vandana ceremony in the private temple welcomes arrivals, setting a tone of serenity and reflection. From curated cultural encounters to intimate celebrations or unhurried days of rest, each stay unfolds with quiet flexibility.

Dining is woven into the experience as a personal ritual. Oberoi chefs design menus daily in consultation with guests, drawing inspiration from royal Rajasthani and Mughal traditions alongside refined international cuisine. Meals may be enjoyed in the mirror-adorned dining hall, beneath open skies in the gardens, beside the pool, or on terraces overlooking the landscape.

With Naila Fort, The Oberoi Group offers a new expression of its hospitality philosophy. Heritage, when cared for with integrity, becomes a living presence rather than a backdrop. This residence invites guests to slow down, immerse themselves in history, and experience Rajasthan through the quiet confidence of Oberoi’s legendary service.
