Karina is a Doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, an acclaimed speaker, author, innovator and a renowned authority on holistic health and wellbeing.
Kamalaya’s flexible and humanistic approach is aimed at accommodating each guest’s personal goals, whether it is to simply find a tranquil healing hideaway with contemporary comforts, or participate in a structured 3-, 5- or 7-day wellness program or inspiring retreat. All of this is provided alongside its expansive retreat facilities and lush accommodation including 76 rooms, villas and suites that offer captivating views overlooking the tropical gardens or Gulf of Thailand.
Kamalaya provides a menu of over 70 therapies and treatments including Ayurvedic therapies, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, and emotional healing. The holistic services offered include Pilates, yoga, Qi Gong and meditation. In addition, guests can benefit from holistic fitness classes, health-inspired heartful cuisine, customised wellness programs, group retreats and opportunities to work with international visiting healers and teachers visiting the resort.
The retreat recently enhanced its expertise in functional medicine for longevity through the addition of healing therapies available at a new Longevity House. IV Therapy is a results-oriented IV vitamin infusion to support acute health concerns and improve health, performance and longevity. Ozone Therapy is an effective treatment to restore balance, combat infectious and degenerative diseases and boost the immune system.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is for guests recovering from injuries and those seeking to boost their immunity, vitality and energy levels in a high-air-pressure Hyperbaric Chamber. These regenerative treatments are performed in the new bespoke wellness facility.
All guests staying at Kamalaya undergo a body bioimpedance analysis, followed by a personal one-to-one consultation with a wellness expert to review their results. The Wellness Sanctuary’s expert team consists of more than 50 certified naturopaths, doctors of Chinese medicine, western medical doctors, registered nurses, nutritionists, life transformation experts, Ayurvedic and Thai therapists, fitness specialists and yoga, meditation and pranayama teachers.
The island of Koh Samui, Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket, is part of the Chumphon Archipelago, located in the Gulf of Thailand. The island is connected to Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore and other Thai and regional hubs vis Samui Airport, a private airport built and owned by Bangkok Airways. Several ferries, including car-carrying ones also connect the island with the mainland.
