At Paris Fashion Week, British shoemaker John Lobb unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection—an artful fusion of tradition and reinvention. Rooted in the maison’s rich heritage yet infused with a casual, rock-inflected spirit, this season’s collection reflects a confident evolution of Lobb’s identity. From iconic silhouettes reimagined in suede to the rebellious sophistication of oval motifs and bold buckles, the collection bridges British craftsmanship with a modern sensibility.
Leading the charge is the continued evolution of the SMITH. A defining piece in Lobb’s casual universe, the SMITH SINGLE BUCKLE introduces an oval buckle and thick sole, drawing inspiration from the rebellious energy of the 1980s. This version maintains the signature apron and continuous binding of its predecessor while adding a tactile update through new suede finishes and tri-color variations—ideal for modern urban wearers with a nod to vintage attitude.

A highlight of the season is the celebration of LOPEZ, which marks its 75th anniversary in 2026. The classic loafer has been recast as LOPEZ RING, distinguished by a discreet oval metal jewel on the saddle and subtle refinements in construction that speak to understated luxury. Meanwhile, the PHILIP II OVAL updates a classic brogue with oval perforations, infusing a timeless dress shoe with lightness and a more contemporary edge.
In terms of material language, suede takes center stage. A new Carbon hue lends modern versatility to the LOPEZ and WILLIAM NEW STANDARD, elevated further by contrasting top-stitching that frames the craftsmanship with definition and texture. It’s a thoughtful nod to casual refinement—one that reads as quietly confident rather than overtly styled.

The SALFORD loafer emerges as the collection’s rock-chic hero. Inspired by the aesthetic language of the DELANO II, this sharp silhouette on the 7000 last features a hand-sewn apron, oval signature buckle, and hidden elastic panel for effortless wear. It’s a study in hybrid elegance, combining timeless materials with subtle attitude.
Among the reimagined classics is the TYNE II, debuting on the all-new 0225 last. With a supple suede or leather build and repairable sole, it’s designed to meet the demands of the modern gentleman—delivering flexibility, grip, and wearability without compromising on heritage.

Summer calls for lightness, and the PACE OVAL answers with flair. This updated version of the PACE loafer draws inspiration from driving gloves and classic sports car interiors, with oval perforations, a suspended saddle, and a padded sock that enhances comfort while remaining unmistakably John Lobb.
Presented in the galleries and gardens of Paris’ Domaine National du Palais Royal, the unveiling was a tasteful nod to British tradition—guests were served scones, tea sandwiches, and ice cream in a setting that mirrored the collection’s balance of sophistication and ease.

With Spring/Summer 2026, John Lobb underscores its vision for the future: one where rock sensibilities, heritage shoemaking, and wearable luxury coalesce in shoes that are both distinctive and deeply personal.
