A Night of Glamour and Tribute

Gucci, a global symbol of Italian luxury, received the Special Recognition Award at the Fashion Awards 2024 for its visionary “We Will Always Have London” campaign. Held on December 2 at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, the event celebrated Gucci’s enduring contribution to the fashion industry and its profound connection with British culture.

The campaign, envisioned by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno and captured by renowned artist and activist Nan Goldin, featured cultural icons Debbie Harry and Kelsey Lu. It served as a vibrant homage to London’s dynamic creative spirit and its pivotal role in shaping global fashion narratives.

London: A Centenary Muse

Gucci’s deep-rooted relationship with London was underscored earlier this year with the Cruise 2025 fashion show at Tate Modern. The show reaffirmed the city’s significance as an artistic muse and a cornerstone of Gucci’s storied legacy.

During the award presentation, Nan Goldin and Kelsey Lu accepted the honor on behalf of Gucci, introduced by Chioma Nnadi, Head of Editorial Content at British Vogue. A surprise performance by Debbie Harry, dressed in a custom Gucci ensemble, electrified the audience with her rendition of the classic “Heart of Glass.”

A Star-Studded Evening

The event drew a constellation of high-profile attendees adorned in Gucci’s iconic designs. Notable guests included Olivia Dean, Yanan Wan, and Sabine Getty, who showcased pieces from the latest Gucci Notte eveningwear collection, alongside figures like Pixie Geldof and George Barnett, highlighting the House’s unparalleled craftsmanship.

About Gucci

Established in Florence in 1921, Gucci has become a beacon of luxury, blending innovation with Italian artistry. Under the leadership of President and CEO Jean-François Palus and the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno, the brand continues to redefine modern luxury.

As part of the Kering Group, Gucci exemplifies the pinnacle of fashion, leather goods, and jewelry excellence on a global stage.
