For this summer season, with its implied inclination to travel and the reconnection of old bonds, Molton Brown has refreshed some of its house classics to make them more appealing as gifting options. It has also curated new travel collections featuring some of its classics, presented in stylish carry bags.
OUDH ACCORD & GOLD COLLECTION
The Eau de Parfum, Bath & Shower Gel and Scented Candles from the Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold collection are now available as a gifting set. Molton Brown commissioned Emirati calligrapher Alya El Sanad to produce artwork for the new packaging. The artist drew inspiration from the colour palette of the house’s three ambery fragrances: Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold, Rose Dunes and Neon Amber. The abstract illustrations were inspired by light and movement.
The Eau de Parfum of the classic amber-rich fragrance opens with honeyed davana, unfurling into a warm heart of balmy saffron, smoky black tea and soft rose. A deep base of spirited oudh is layered with sweet, earthy undertones and the intense signature note of olibanum resin. The Eau de Parfum is encased in a limited edition sleeve decorated with an ornate girih pattern inspired by local influences. The Bath & Shower Gel is infused with 23.5-carat gold flakes, while the Scented Candles have a high fragrance concentration that’s made to last.
“An opulent palace inspired by the Middle Eastern literary tales, ‘One Thousand And One Nights’; where gold reigns king. This was the initial spark of my creative vision,” says Sylvie Fischer, Senior Perfumer at Molton Brown. “I wanted to captivate the idea of myriad facets encircling precious oudh; like a well-kept secret. It’s deeply distinctive and mysterious; the precious rose absolute, cardamom and davana construction echoes the complexity of a sophisticated balm.”
HEAVENLY GINGERLILY’s NEW LIMITED EDITION DESIGN
Molton Brown’s Heavenly Gingerlily collection, the white-floral icon has been a bestseller for over 20 years. To celebrate this classic fragrance, the house has designed a beautiful illustration of flourishing lilies on the collection’s Bath, Body and Hand Care bottles.
Heavenly Gingerlily started out as a personal project of Master Perfumer Jacques Chabert, who has worked with the house since its early days. The idea for the fragrance blossomed when Jacques visited a botanical garden and became captivated by an exceptional type of ginger lily. He recreated its heady quality and combined it with aquatic notes, putting his own floral twist on the ’90s marine perfumery trend.
“I love to create fragrances that transcend trends, says Jacques Chabert. “Heavenly Gingerlily captures that at its very essence. Its delicate yet sensuous floral signature is artfully tinged with piquant cardamom and fresh hyacinth. It’s graceful and exudes an expressive aura through its flower-rich heart.”
Laced with gentle top notes of cardamom and ginger, the fragrance has a blooming heart of lily, entwined with radiant tuberose and tagetes. A base of cedarwood and musk lends a gracious, long-lasting trail. The Heavenly Gingerlily’s opulent Bath & Shower Gel and matching light-as-air Body Lotion combine to soften the skin. Finish with a few spritzes of the elegant Eau de Toilette or the deeply rich Eau de Parfum, whose signature note of sensual hyacinth adds extra allure.
TRAVEL SETS FOR THE SUMMER
To lighten the hassle of packing this summer, Molton Brown has curated four travel-sized collections. From flight-friendly mini toiletries sets to men’s essentials kits, the four travel collections are offered in two conveniently sized sets. There are two “Carry-On Bag” collections, each offering a set of five hair and body products. Meanwhile, the two “Mini Travel Bag” collections each offer a selection of eight 30ml hair and body products.
