Molton Brown, British fragrance makers, splendidly stir up a festive feast for the senses with the new Limited Edition collection – Marvellous Mandarin & Spice. This citrus-gourmand fragrance reimagines the magnificent – and very British – tradition of making Christmas cake.The collection is infused with exceptionally generous fragrance concentrations for a complex trail that temptingly lingers on the skin and in the air.
Senior Perfumer Nathalie Koobus, the house’s returning festive expert, captures a warmly familiar recipe passed down through family generations, refreshed with modern elegance. “I wanted to recreate a fragrance that evokes a traditional British Christmas cake, abundant with fresh citrus and warm spices. This addictive, nostalgic and naturally festive scent remind us of time spent in the kitchen with loved ones preparing a sweet feast for the special day,” says Nathalie.
Scattered ingredients are gloriously strewn across the Christmas kitchen table – jewels of wintry citrus and warm, deep spices. The golden vibrancy of ginger unravels with a tart swirl of sparkling mandarin zest and responsibly sourced orange seed oil extract – an upcycled byproduct from the UK food and beverage industry. Well-seasoned with tasting notes of ground cinnamon and crunchy clusters of seedy dried fruits, the scent is finished with a grating of earthy nutmeg.
The Marvellous Mandarin & Spice ritual starts with the gloriously shimmering Fine Liquid Hand Wash. The fragrance is deepened with a moisturising Hand Lotion that winter skin will love. Meanwhile, the gold-foiled Scented Candle weaves an irresistible aroma of baking throughout the space.
According the the brand, this collection is cruelty-free and made at its carbon-neutral factory in Hertfordshire. The plastic bottles are made with at least 50% recycled plastic. The Festive Bauble and Signature Candle boxes are made from 100% recycled materials and are also recyclable.
