After an eight-year hiatus, KENZO makes a triumphant return to the standalone womenswear stage with “Lucky Me? Lucky You,” a collection that channels the brand’s signature playfulness, luxury, and eclecticism. Artistic Director Nigo delves deep into the Maison’s storied archive, weaving together an homage to founder Kenzo Takada’s joyous spirit with nods to pop art icon Andy Warhol and his own boundary-pushing design journey. The result? A collection that is as whimsical and energetic as a den of love-struck bunnies, bursting with youthful confidence and attitude.

From the heart of KENZO’s fourth-floor atelier, models descend to the stately 17th-century salons of 18 rue Vivienne, parading through an immersive setting that blends historical grandeur with contemporary vibrancy. The show’s soundtrack—a dynamic fusion of ’90s hip hop, punk, and disco—further amplifies the playful yet rebellious essence of the collection. Guests are invited to settle into an intimate, living-room-style setting curated by Nigo himself, fostering a sense of community that mirrors the familial nesting habits of rabbits.

True to KENZO’s ethos of joyful sophistication, the collection thrives on contrast. Unexpected sartorial elements clash and intertwine, reimagining the archetypal KENZO girl as a fearless and charismatic figure. Every detail, from exquisitely hand-crafted designs to cheeky, statement-making silhouettes, reflects Nigo’s visionary approach—one that seamlessly merges nostalgia with forward-thinking style.
