Candlelight® Concert in UAE

In the heart of Ras Al Khaimah’s sweeping Al Wadi Nature Reserve, where desert silence meets Bedouin elegance, an unexpected harmony is about to unfold. This June, The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert will host Candlelight®, the globally acclaimed live concert series that reimagines classical music in intimate, atmospheric settings. The desert, it seems, has never sounded so sublime.

Produced by Fever, Candlelight has become a global cultural movement—an immersive experience that blends sound and setting in over 150 cities worldwide. Its arrival in Al Wadi Desert marks not just another performance, but the creation of a new cultural landmark in the UAE, where music meets the elements under flickering candlelight. Set among wild gazelles, whispering sands, and centuries-old falaj trails, the resort will offer guests the rare opportunity to hear the music of Vivaldi, Coldplay, Queen, ABBA, and Adele performed live beneath a canopy of stars.

It begins on June 14, with two back-to-back performances that promise to contrast and complement. The first: a tribute to Adele at 7:00 pm—introspective, emotional, and soul-stirring. The second: a reimagining of Coldplay’s most iconic anthems at 9:00 pm—ethereal, expansive, and perfectly in tune with the surrounding stillness. Later in the year, on September 27, the resort will host a celebration of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons followed by the high-energy nostalgia of Queen vs. ABBA. In each case, the setting does more than frame the performance—it transforms it.

At the heart of each evening is the renowned pianist Aldo Dotto, who leads the experience with both technical finesse and emotional intuition. Joining him are select local musicians, chosen for their ability to bridge the gap between genre and geography. Classical music, here, isn’t bound by formality—it’s fluid, illuminated by thousands of candles and grounded in the raw elegance of the desert landscape.

The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert provides an extraordinary backdrop for this sensory experience. Spread across 500 hectares of protected land, the resort blends privacy and immersion. Its architecture echoes traditional Bedouin structures, while its offerings—private villas with pools, desert wellness treatments, falconry, archery, and destination dining—root guests in the elemental drama of the place. For Candlelight audiences, it’s not just about listening to music; it’s about feeling it differently, in a place where the silence itself feels sacred.

This is not the first time Candlelight has brought its signature concept to the UAE—previous performances at the Burj Al Arab and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi have already proven its local resonance—but the Al Wadi Desert iteration marks a new chapter. Here, in a venue defined by earth and sky rather than skyline, the experience is stripped back to its essentials: light, sound, and emotion.

Tickets, available via the Fever app and website. Whether you come for Adele’s aching lyricism, Coldplay’s cinematic melodies, Vivaldi’s seasonal virtuosity, or the electric clash of Queen and ABBA, the message remains the same: classical music belongs to everyone—and sometimes, it belongs to the desert.
