Tommy Hilfiger Shifts into High Gear with ‘F1® The Movie’ and APXGP Collection

In a cinematic fusion of speed, fashion, and pop culture, Tommy Hilfiger has unveiled its boldest move yet: the APXGP Collection, a limited-edition range launched in partnership with F1® The Movie—a highly anticipated release starring Damson Idris and Brad Pitt. As the world gears up for the film’s international debut on June 25, 2025, and North American release on June 27, the collection hits the starting line in TOMMY HILFIGER stores and online on June 3.

Fronting the campaign is the film’s breakout star and Tommy Hilfiger Brand Ambassador Damson Idris, who perfectly embodies the daring momentum of the brand’s evolving narrative. Shot with cinematic intensity, the campaign channels the energy of Formula 1™ with Idris clad in hero pieces from the capsule — merging race-day grit with red carpet flair.

The APXGP Collection is a definitive statement in the emerging ‘motorcore’ aesthetic, where motorsport motifs meet street-smart design. With pieces such as moto-emblazoned mechanic shirts, a varsity-meets-moto vegan leather jacket, Japanese denim, and merino knit polos, the collection walks the line between utility and elegance. Among the standouts is a red quilted jacket, a direct replica of the on-screen uniform worn by Idris’s character, Joshua Pearce — a thrilling crossover from screen to street.

“This collaboration represents the synergy of film, fashion, and racing culture,” said Idris. “Working on F1® The Movieand with Tommy has been unforgettable. It’s not just a collection, it’s a story of speed, drive, and identity.”

For Tommy Hilfiger, a lifelong Formula 1™ fan, this collection is more than a fashion release—it’s a personal dream. “Since watching F1 through the fences at Watkins Glen as a kid, I’ve been obsessed,” he shared. “Now, to partner with F1® The Movie as the official fashion sponsor of the fictional APXGP team is surreal. This is the future of what I call ‘fashiontainment’—where storytelling, style, and sport collide.”

This new partnership is the continuation of a decades-long relationship between the Tommy Hilfiger brand and motorsport. From sponsoring F1 teams in the ’90s to styling paddock icons, the brand has consistently bridged the gap between racetrack and runway. The APXGP Collection is the next evolution of that legacy, and with Idris’s iconic Met Gala arrival in an APXGP race car, it’s clear that Tommy is steering the conversation around fashion, fandom, and film.

As the film’s official fashion partner, Tommy Hilfiger outfits both lead drivers — Idris’s Joshua Pearce and Brad Pitt’s Sonny Hayes — positioning the brand at the heart of the most adrenaline-fueled film of the summer. With fashion-forward tailoring and authentic racing cues, The APXGP Collection reflects both the cinematic power and real-world influence of Formula 1™, now firmly entrenched as a cultural force.

Whether you’re a motorsport devotee, a style connoisseur, or a fan of Idris and Pitt’s high-octane performances, this is one collaboration that takes pole position in 2025’s fashion calendar.

Beyond aesthetics, the APXGP Collection encapsulates the deeper cultural shift where fashion aligns itself with the speed, risk, and precision of motorsport. As fans increasingly view F1 as more than just a sport—embracing its stars as global tastemakers—Tommy Hilfiger is positioning itself at the vanguard of this lifestyle crossover. Every piece in the collection is crafted to channel not just the technical sharpness of the track but also the charisma and ambition of those who drive it, on-screen and off.

With the anticipation for F1® The Movie at an all-time high, the collection’s release couldn’t be more perfectly timed. As viewers prepare to witness Damson Idris and Brad Pitt ignite the screen, Tommy Hilfiger offers fans a way to step directly into the narrative—blurring the lines between costume and couture, pit lane and street style. The APXGP Collection is more than merchandise—it’s a movement for the bold, the fast, and the fashion-forward.
