Presented by Oliver Smith Jeweler, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association, and local retail partners, Watch Week Aspen was established to highlight the many watch boutiques and retailers that call Aspen home while showcasing the region’s countless off-season charms. The week-long celebration of wristwatches takes place against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Throughout the event, watch lovers will have the opportunity to gather, expand their knowledge, build connections, enjoy curated events and experiences, and discover extraordinary new timepieces in Aspen’s world-renowned downtown.
According to Elizabeth Smith, Managing Director of Oliver Smith Jeweler, and founder of Watch Week Aspen, “Aspen is a watch lover’s paradise. There are so many unique retailers and brands represented here that it seemed only natural to establish an event that celebrates this unique place and our shared passion—wristwatches. We are so excited to welcome new and returning collectors and brands for year two of Watch Week Aspen.”

Curious newcomers and watch connoisseurs can expect an action-packed itinerary of camaraderie and collaboration, encompassing an opening reception, informal gatherings, educational panels, and immersive activities presented in partnership with top watch brands, influencers, and local retailers.
While Watch Week Aspen is free and open to the public, event registration is strongly encouraged to ensure registered attendees claim their spot in the week’s exclusive events and hosted excursions, which will be incorporated into the fabric of Aspen’s picturesque downtown and the surrounding Rocky Mountain region.
Now in its second year, Watch Week Aspen is a one-of-a-kind, week-long gathering of watch enthusiasts, collectors, and brands, set against the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Co-founded by Aspen’s Oliver Smith Jeweler and presented in partnership with the Aspen Chamber of Commerce, the event offers a distinctive blend of horology with Aspen’s outdoor lifestyle experiences and cultural allure. From exclusive brand showcases and collector-driven gatherings to educational talks and immersive indoor-outdoor experiences, Watch Week Aspen highlights the city’s renowned watch boutiques and provides a unique way to connect with fellow enthusiasts amid world-class outdoor adventures, arts, culture, dining, and shopping. Oliver Smith, founder of Watch Week Aspen, established his high-end watch and jewelry business in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1981. While this is still home to the flagship boutique and a recently opened store at Scottsdale Fashion Square, the designer’s flair for in-house jewelry creations and curated estate watches and jewelry extends to Colorado too. The historic Tom Thumb building in Aspen is the prime location for another Oliver Smith boutique and a Panerai boutique. The Aspen Chamber Resort Association (ACRA) operates as a 501(c)(6), functioning as both a chamber of commerce and a destination marketing organization. Committed to bolstering the Aspen business landscape, ACRA focuses on drawing visitors to the resort while enriching their overall experience.
Watch Week Aspen continues to stand out for its seamless integration of horology and high-altitude lifestyle, offering attendees a rare chance to experience the world’s finest watches in a laid-back yet elevated setting. Whether hiking a ridge with an adventurer, sipping champagne with a CEO, or admiring a boutique-exclusive complication, the event offers something for everyone—from seasoned collectors to curious newcomers. Each activation is designed not only to showcase exquisite timepieces but to foster genuine relationships between brands, retailers, and attendees.

As Aspen’s boutique watch scene expands, Watch Week is helping solidify the town as North America’s leading summer destination for watch culture. Local retailers such as Meridian Jewelers and Oliver Smith Jeweler continue to play a key role in drawing both new talent and iconic maisons to the region, making Watch Week a reflection of the town’s growing relevance on the global luxury calendar. The event also strengthens community ties by highlighting local hospitality, arts, and outdoor experiences that round out Aspen’s unique appeal.
Looking ahead, organizers plan to expand Watch Week’s footprint with more pop-up showcases, interactive workshops, and collector-focused roundtables. With the promise of new product debuts, special guests, and surprise performances, 2025 is shaping up to be the most dynamic edition yet. Whether you’re a passionate horophile or simply in search of unforgettable summer memories, Watch Week Aspen is your ticket to the intersection of time, taste, and the great outdoors.
