Samsung Electronics has officially introduced the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic, redefining design and wellness innovation across its smartwatch lineup. Engineered for maximum comfort and daily health tracking, the new models integrate advanced sensor technology with a sleek, ultra-thin form factor—offering users smarter insights and more personalized well-being experiences than ever before. The Galaxy Watch8 series inherits the cushion design language from the Galaxy Watch Ultra, delivering Samsung’s thinnest and most ergonomic wearables to date.

At the core of this evolution is a complete re-engineering of the watch’s internal architecture, enabling a 30% improvement in component mounting and resulting in an 11% slimmer profile. The Dynamic Lug system further enhances wearability, adapting naturally to wrist movement for better fit and tracking accuracy. Complementing its subtle profile is a Super AMOLED display with 3,000 nits of brightness and dual-frequency GPS for precise location tracking. The devices also feature a new 3nm processor for enhanced performance and longer battery life.
Samsung is doubling down on holistic health by introducing novel features in the Samsung Health app, including Bedtime Guidance based on circadian rhythms and Vascular Load, a new metric tracking vascular stress during sleep. For the first time in a smartwatch, users can also measure carotenoid levels using the Antioxidant Index, empowering users to make informed lifestyle choices around aging and nutrition. Fitness features also get a boost with Running Coach, which offers real-time, tailored training plans, and the updated Together platform that gamifies wellness with friends and family.

Developed in collaboration with Google, Galaxy Watch8 is the first wearable to debut with Wear OS 6 and comes equipped with Gemini, Google’s generative AI assistant. Voice commands become even more natural and intuitive, allowing users to start workouts, send messages, or find locations hands-free. The interface has also been optimized through One UI 8 Watch, featuring Multi-Info Tiles, a Now Bar, and refined notifications for seamless navigation across apps and functions.
The collection is designed to suit all lifestyles. Galaxy Watch8 comes in minimalist Graphite and Silver (44mm and 40mm), while the Watch8 Classic is defined by its signature rotating bezel and elegant Black and White options in 46mm. For rugged explorers, the Galaxy Watch Ultra takes the spotlight with its durable titanium build, new Titanium Blue colorway, and unmatched battery life. Meanwhile, those seeking discreet, continuous tracking can opt for the Galaxy Ring, which offers up to seven days of battery life and supreme wearability.

Pre-orders for the new Galaxy Watch8 lineup begin today in select markets, with general availability starting July 25th. For more information, visit www.samsung.com/galaxy-watch or news.samsung.com.
