This July, China Tang Dubai invites guests to journey into a world where refinement, ritual, and revelry coexist with ease. Located at The Lana Promenade, Dorchester Collection, the restaurant unveils three immersive experiences that pay tribute to the legacy of its founder, the late Sir David Tang – a man known for his love of literature, performance, and elevated hospitality. Each event weaves culture and cuisine into memorable moments that are both opulent and poetic.
Kicking off the series is Sonnets & Sunsets, a reimagined take on after-office hours launching Tuesday, 1st July 2025. Available from Monday to Friday between 4:00PM and 7:00PM, this golden hour experience features a bottle of Riff Pinot Grigio 2023 or Vinuva Primitivo 2023 accompanied by a trio of artful bites – Crispy Chicken Wonton, Black Tofu, and the sculptural Almond Shrimp Toast, shaped like a swan. Each table receives a beautifully printed card with sonnets by Shakespeare and Al-Mutannabi, evoking the poetic soul of the venue. Priced at AED 198, it’s a serene celebration of literature, sunset, and good taste.

For those who believe brunch is an art form, The Grand Tier Brunch launches Saturday, 19th July 2025. Taking inspiration from Sir David Tang’s famously theatrical dinner parties, this weekend affair combines culinary storytelling with performance and music. From 1:00PM to 5:00PM, guests are treated to a four-course sharing menu over three hours, paired with free-flowing drinks – from signature cocktails to champagne. Live music and tableside theatrics complete the spectacle, with packages starting from AED 398 and scaling up to AED 798 for those opting for Ruinart Brut NV.
Midweek glamour returns with the arrival of Club Canard on Wednesday, 9th July 2025. Every Wednesday evening, China Tang’s upstairs lounge transforms into a sultry speakeasy reminiscent of 1930s Mayfair, complete with live jazz. Guests enjoy unlimited freshly carved duck pancakes from the signature trolley and a bottle of Ruinart Brut NV, all for AED 598 per person. Available as a two-hour affair for up to four guests, or an extended experience for larger groups, Club Canard redefines the concept of midweek indulgence.

Each of these experiences exemplifies China Tang’s commitment to storytelling through cuisine and atmosphere. Whether it’s sipping wine over poetry, toasting champagne to jazz, or revelling in a theatrical brunch, every offering is a tribute to the restaurant’s founding vision – to blend heritage with glamour, and elegance with entertainment.
The menu and mood across these events have been carefully designed to align with Sir David Tang’s ethos: generous hospitality, cultural richness, and a sharp eye for detail. These aren’t just meals—they are carefully staged encounters, where every bite, note, and moment feels steeped in meaning.

At China Tang Dubai, tradition doesn’t just meet modernity—it waltzes with it. This trilogy of curated experiences is a compelling invitation to rediscover luxury dining in its most poetic and performative form.
