Ahmed Seddiqi x Louis Erard Unveil Limited-Edition La Petite Seconde for 75th Anniversary

In a rare collaboration that celebrates heritage, design, and horological excellence, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the Middle East’s leading curator of luxury timepieces, partners with Swiss watchmaker Louis Erard to release a limited edition of the La Petite Seconde—a watch created to mark Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary. This special edition, capped at just 75 pieces, is a collector’s dream where Swiss craftsmanship meets Emirati cultural symbolism.

Drawing inspiration from vintage photography and cinema, the warm copper dial is the centerpiece of the La Petite Seconde 75th Anniversary Seddiqi Edition. Its tone evokes sepia memories—rich, nostalgic, and timeless. In a subtle yet powerful design move, the hands of the watch mimic the silhouette of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower and an enduring symbol of Dubai’s modern ambition. The result is a timepiece that not only tells the hour, but tells a story—of the past, the present, and the identity that binds them.

The watch features a neo-deco aesthetic, a nuanced evolution of Art Deco characterized by clean lines, architectural precision, and geometric detailing. Louis Erard’s classic 39 mm case frames the artistry beautifully, complemented by a sandblasted copper dial and a small seconds subdial at six o’clock—retaining the hallmarks of the La Petite Secondefamily while layering in fresh narrative cues.

Beyond its visual appeal, the timepiece is powered by the automatic Sellita SW261-1 movement, ensuring reliability and precision that matches its design credentials. The caseback is engraved with “Seddiqi 75 Years,” a subtle nod to the heritage it celebrates, and each of the 75 pieces is individually numbered, heightening its exclusivity.

The collaboration represents more than a commemorative edition—it’s a dialogue between watchmaking tradition and cultural storytelling. From Louis Erard’s independent Swiss atelier to Seddiqi’s legacy as a family-owned horological powerhouse in the UAE, the timepiece reflects decades of expertise, passion, and vision.
