FRED Unveils 2025 High Jewelry Creations with Radiant Tribute to Light

In 1936, a young visionary named Fred Samuel opened his jewelry maison on Rue Royale in Paris. From the start, his creations were guided by a singular muse: sunlight. Nearly ninety years later, FRED, known as The Sunshine Jeweler, channels this legacy into its new 2025 High Jewelry Creations—a dazzling ensemble of 19 pieces unveiled across two luminous chapters, 1936 and Soleil d’Or Sunrise.

The collection is more than a showcase of gems—it is a dialogue with the past. The chapter 1936 celebrates the origins of the Maison, where Samuel’s fascination with pearls and colored stones translated into jewelry meant to move with the rhythms of life. The hallmark Art Deco arch, inspired by Mediterranean architecture and the boutique’s Parisian arcades, anchors these new designs, transforming symmetry and fluidity into graphic cascades of brilliance.

The first set within this chapter highlights the depth of Colombian emeralds from the famed Muzo mines. A 4-carat emerald glows at the heart of a white-gold necklace, its vibrancy enhanced by geometric diamond settings. Rings and earrings echo the motif, each stone held in a solitaire-like embrace, radiating both strength and grace.

Sapphires from Sri Lanka, with their royal blue intensity, define the second set. A 7.13-carat cushion-cut stone anchors a supple diamond necklace, while a matching ring and earrings showcase over 6 carats of brilliance. The fluidity of the articulated design mirrors flowing arches, marrying structure with movement.

The third set blazes with Mozambique rubies of vivid Pigeon Blood hue. A choker adorned with oval-cut rubies and diamond pavé sits close to the skin, glowing with intensity. Paired with earrings and a ring, the stones pulse with fiery energy, reflecting Samuel’s daring embrace of color.

A softer dialogue comes through in the Maison’s homage to pearls. A long necklace of Akoya pearls—delicately tinted with pink—threads through diamond-pavé arches, diffusing light with quiet radiance. It is a nod to Samuel’s early mastery of cultured pearls, anticipating trends before their time.

If 1936 evokes the Maison’s birth, the chapter Soleil d’Or Sunrise captures its solar spirit. Inspired by the legendary 100-carat yellow diamond acquired in 1977, the collection draws on the shifting light of dawn and the brilliance of the sun at its zenith. Strands of yellow and white diamonds drape like sunbeams across the skin, their shimmer changing with every movement.

Transformable jewels—rings, earrings, and brooches—reflect FRED’s playful approach to versatility. White and yellow diamonds are set to catch the sun’s inclination, allowing the wearer to create their own interpretation of radiance. Each piece mirrors the Maison’s modern ethos: high jewelry designed not only for admiration but also for daily wear.

Together, the 1936 and Soleil d’Or Sunrise chapters affirm FRED’s timeless identity: bold, fluid, and eternally luminous. In these creations, history and modernity converge, carrying forward a legacy of light that has defined The Sunshine Jeweler for generations.
