The Leela Palace New Delhi announces the much-anticipated reopening of Le Cirque, its iconic Franco-Italian dining destination. Known for bringing an international standard of fine dining to the capital and once celebrated among the World’s 50 Best Discovery restaurants, Le Cirque returns with a renewed space, an evolved menu, and an experience that honours its heritage while embracing modern sensibilities.
The philosophy of the reimagined Le Cirque remains rooted in the belief that food is both an art and a cultural expression. The new menu highlights the balance between classical French and Italian traditions and contemporary creativity, using seasonal ingredients sourced with care from across the globe. Guests will rediscover beloved classics such as Lobster Ravioli “Le Cirque” and Mille-Feuille à la Vanille, alongside new expressions like Yellowfin Tuna Crudo and a 40-layer New Zealand Lamb Lasagna.

In a first for the restaurant, Le Cirque will now open its doors for lunch, allowing diners to explore the à la carte menu in its entirety. Evenings will see the restaurant transform into a stage for multi-course degustation menus, offered in five or seven courses, with vegetarian and vegan interpretations thoughtfully included. Each menu has been designed to capture the restaurant’s evolving artistry while remaining faithful to its roots.
The wine program has been equally reimagined. A striking new cellar, intimate tasting tables, and sessions led by the in-house sommelier invite guests to explore both rare vintages and celebrated international labels. From regional gems to global classics, the pairings are designed to deepen the dining journey and create an experience that is as educational as it is indulgent.
Interiors, too, reflect the renewed vision. Drawing inspiration from Le Cirque’s Franco-Italian lineage and its New York origins, the design combines craftsmanship and warmth. A bespoke glass tile wall in plum and gold sets the tone, complemented by rich wood paneling, sculptural lighting, and plush detailing. The space unfolds from an elegant entrance into a main dining room, intimate tasting areas, and private dining spaces, ensuring that each moment feels considered yet welcoming.

To mark its reopening, Le Cirque hosted an exclusive four-hands dinner featuring former head chef Diego alongside current culinary head Chef Vashisht. The collaboration paid tribute to the restaurant’s legacy while signalling its future, uniting timeless dishes with new creations in a symbolic passing of the torch.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anupam Dasgupta, Senior Vice President – Operations (North India) and Head of Wellness at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, said, “Le Cirque has always stood for excellence and artistry in the world of fine dining. Its reopening not only reaffirms our commitment to offering the finest experiences but also continues a legacy that has earned global recognition.”
Ms. Preeti Makhija, General Manager, The Leela Palace New Delhi, added, “The reopening of Le Cirque reflects The Leela’s philosophy of bringing world-class dining to India. With its reimagined design, evolved menu, and immersive storytelling, Le Cirque is set to reaffirm its place among the capital’s most distinguished restaurants.”
With this new chapter, Le Cirque reasserts itself as a destination where tradition and innovation coexist. More than a reopening, it is the continuation of a story that blends global sophistication with timeless artistry, offering New Delhi a renewed icon of fine dining.
