Jaeger-LeCoultre Expands Its Reverso Legacy with Two Timeless Creations

Jaeger-LeCoultre reaffirms its mastery of elegance and innovation with the introduction of two new Reverso timepieces — the Reverso Classic Monoface ‘Origin’ and the Reverso Classic Monoface Small Seconds. Each model celebrates the maison’s heritage of Art Deco design, blending history, craftsmanship, and modern sophistication in distinct ways that pay homage to one of the world’s most recognisable watches.

Created in 1931 for polo players seeking a timepiece that could withstand the sport’s intensity, the Reverso was a triumph of form and function. Its swivel case — an invention patented under CH159982 — allowed players to protect the watch face while embodying a new aesthetic language of clean lines and geometric harmony. Nearly a century later, that same spirit continues to inspire Jaeger-LeCoultre’s design evolution, as seen in these two refined new editions.

The Reverso Classic Monoface ‘Origin’ reintroduces the feminine dimensions of the original Reverso Dame from 1931, with a 32.5 x 16.3 mm steel case designed to sit gracefully on the wrist. Its silvered dial features a guilloché sunray pattern at the centre that radiates into a finely brushed chemin de fer minute track, framed by elegant Arabic numerals. Available on a five-row steel bracelet or a blue alligator strap, this model is as versatile as it is timeless.

True to the earliest Reverso spirit, the ‘Origin’ also embraces personalisation with a blank caseback ready for engraving or lacquer artistry. With over 1,800 customisation options, owners can transform their watch into a deeply personal heirloom — a poetic dialogue between memory and design.

Meanwhile, the Reverso Classic Monoface Small Seconds offers a new interpretation of the iconic Art Deco style with a modern guilloché pattern known as the “coin stack.” Inspired by the texture of vintage currency edges, this intricate motif contrasts beautifully against the vertically brushed tracks of the main dial and the small seconds counter. The polished steel case, measuring 40.1 x 24.4 mm with a slim 7.56 mm profile, is perfectly proportioned for both men’s and women’s wrists.

Inside beats the hand-wound Calibre 822 — a testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s technical artistry — offering a 42-hour power reserve within a movement composed of 108 components. Complementing the sleek case is an interchangeable Casa Fagliano black calfskin strap, handmade by Argentina’s legendary polo bootmakers and a fitting nod to the Reverso’s equestrian roots.
