Marking a remarkable milestone in Middle Eastern watchmaking history, Ahmed Seddiqi and West End Watch Co. have unveiled the 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Set, a tribute to 75 years of partnership and timeless craftsmanship. The release brings together two icons of horology—the Swiss watchmaker and the UAE’s foremost luxury timepiece retailer—in a celebration of heritage, innovation, and shared values.

The commemorative set features both a wristwatch and a pocket watch, each crafted to capture the spirit of a partnership that helped shape the region’s appreciation for fine watchmaking. Representing the earliest collaboration in Ahmed Seddiqi’s history, West End Watch Co. holds a foundational place in the brand’s legacy, embodying its evolution from a small family business into the Middle East’s most respected luxury watch destination.

Inspired by a pocket watch cherished by the Seddiqi family, the design pays homage to traditional Swiss artistry while integrating refined modern touches. “This 75th Anniversary Set serves as a tribute to the long-standing relationships that helped shape our journey,” said Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, CEO of Ahmed Seddiqi. “It celebrates our deep-rooted ties to Swiss watchmaking and the collectors who continue to appreciate the timeless artistry of mechanical precision.”

The automatic wristwatch (Ref. 8152) reinterprets West End’s classic military-inspired design with a stainless-steel case, red or black sunray dial, and a faceted diamond-cut sun motif that reflects light in intricate patterns. A sapphire crystal and engraved 75th-anniversary caseback add to the collectible allure, while the Founder’s quote—referring to West End as “the mother of all Swiss watch brands”—cements its historical significance.

Complementing it, the pocket watch recalls West End’s origins as a trusted timekeeper for the Indian Army and Railways during the 19th century. Its white dial features Hindi numerals framed in red or black cartouches, paired with pear-shaped hands inspired by archival designs. Each caseback bears the commemorative 75th Anniversary engraving, bridging Swiss precision with Eastern heritage.

The collection is presented in a Swiss-made wooden box reminiscent of vintage army instrument cases—a final nod to the enduring relationship between two watchmaking pioneers. Every detail, from the dials’ texture to the hand-engraved inscriptions, reinforces the shared ethos of authenticity and craftsmanship that has defined this partnership.

In essence, the Ahmed Seddiqi x West End Watch Co. 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Set stands as more than a collector’s piece—it is a celebration of the values that continue to unite two historic houses: respect, innovation, and dedication to horological excellence. As both brands look toward the future, the set serves as a timeless reminder of their shared past and the artistry that endures across generations.
