This Ramadan, The Lana partners with KAYALI to unveil the KAYALI Majlis, an open-air experience set within Veranda, the hotel’s tranquil courtyard overlooking Marasi Bay. Conceived as a scented garden beneath the night sky, the collaboration brings together refined dining, fragrance storytelling and the spirit of togetherness that defines the holy month.
Inspired by KAYALI’s Freedom Collection — a celebration of self-expression and empowerment — the Majlis extends fragrance into flavour. Chef Jouni Ibrahim has curated a menu that echoes the collection’s aromatic notes, weaving orange blossom, sandalwood, pink pepper and floral accords into a thoughtfully composed culinary narrative. Each dish mirrors the layered character of scent, creating a multisensory Ramadan journey.

Guests break their fast with a buffet and sharing-style Iftar menu featuring hot and cold mezze, nourishing soups, sushi and sashimi platters, Arabic mixed grill, Ouzi and Truffle Pasta. A generous selection of Middle Eastern desserts completes the evening, complemented by refreshing beverages and premium Arabic coffee blends. Every element, from floral accents to table settings, is designed to evoke warmth and quiet elegance.
Beyond the Majlis, the hotel’s celebrated venues offer additional Iftar and Suhoor experiences. At Jara by Martín Berasategui, a specially curated Ramadan set menu reflects Basque-inspired craftsmanship, featuring signature dishes such as Gazpacho, Braised Wagyu Cheeks, Fish Supreme of the Day and indulgent Torrija. Set high on the 18th floor, the restaurant pairs culinary finesse with sweeping skyline views.

Group gatherings are welcomed across Veranda, Riviera and the hotel’s Ballroom, where curated menus blend Middle Eastern classics with contemporary touches. Designed for families, corporate events and larger assemblies, each setting combines flexibility with elevated service, reinforcing the hotel’s ethos of refined hospitality.
A striking architectural presence designed by Foster + Partners with interiors by Gilles & Boissier, The Lana frames these experiences against the azure waters of Marasi Bay. Throughout the month, the hotel becomes a sanctuary for reflection, conversation and tradition, where design and dining converge with intention.

By uniting fragrance and gastronomy, The Lana and KAYALI create a Ramadan experience defined by atmosphere and artistry. In this scented Majlis under the stars, the ritual of Iftar becomes more than a meal — it becomes a moment of shared light, layered with memory and meaning.
