A Study of the Blazer: dunhill Unveils its Autumn Winter 2026 Campaign

For Autumn Winter 2026, dunhill reaffirms its position as the definitive voice in British menswear with the launch of its latest campaign, “A Study of the Blazer.” Under the creative direction of Simon Holloway, the House explores one of its most enduring icons through a lens of contemporary elegance and historical reverence, focusing on the nuanced expressions of tailoring, materiality, and British craft.

Holloway draws inspiration from the sartorial alchemy of 1960s London—a pivotal era where the rigid conventions of Savile Row intersected with the burgeoning, individualistic flair of the King’s Road. This collection captures that cinematic tension, presented in a restrained palette of layered greys, winter browns, and deep midnight tones that lend a quiet, sophisticated intensity to the seasonal wardrobe.

The blazer is reimagined through two distinct silhouettes: the Cavendish and the Bourdon. The Cavendish offers a softly constructed, relaxed approach, while the Bourdon provides a more defined, structured profile. Both cuts are engineered to bridge the gap between formal and informal dress, showcasing a lighter approach to traditional English tailoring that moves effortlessly with the wearer.

Materiality remains at the heart of the campaign. The collection features a gun club check woven from a wool-and-cashmere blend by a British mill with over a century of expertise, alongside custom houndstooth and lightweight windowpane flannels from Yorkshire. Every detail is considered, from archive-informed pocket placements to buttonholes meticulously sewn by hand with silk thread, honoring the House’s 130-year legacy of uncompromising quality.

Innovation meets heritage in the specialized fabrics, such as the indigo wool-and-silk double-face cloth, which requires over 24 hours of artisanal labor to produce. For a more sporting aesthetic, the Driving Blazer is crafted from unlined calfskin suede, featuring bonded construction and hand-painted edges for a clean, architectural finish. An action back, inspired by vintage motoring garments, ensures maximum freedom of movement without sacrificing form.

Captured by acclaimed photographer Ethan James Green, the campaign is a profound study in character. Featuring a cast that includes Henry Kitcher and Daisuke Ueda, the intimate studio portraits create a dialogue between the man, the garment, and the exquisite craft behind them. From the softness of the tailored blazers to the rugged luxury of the Scottish wool trench, dunhill continues to set the standard for the modern English gentleman.
