A Visionary Exploration of Boundaries and Nature
Sevil Dolmaci Dubai proudly presents Game Over. Let’s Stop Now., the first solo exhibition in Dubai by Elvan Alpay, a celebrated figure in Turkish contemporary art. Running from November 26, 2024, to January 1, 2025, at the gallery’s elegant space in Dubai Design District, the exhibition marks Alpay’s return to the art scene following a six-year hiatus.

Renowned for her profound exploration of nature and its infinite possibilities, Alpay’s nearly 40-year artistic journey has redefined the relationship between boundaries and creativity. For Alpay, boundaries do not confine but offer meaning and elegance, allowing for a poetic exploration of the infinite within the finite. This latest body of work continues her tradition of using mixed media and three-dimensional techniques to craft pieces that resonate deeply with viewers.

A New Artistic Chapter
Titled with a striking sense of finality, Game Over. Let’s Stop Now. invites questions about Alpay’s perception of freedom and hope. Does this declaration reflect an emotional surrender, or is it an invitation to explore new dimensions of thought? Much like nature, her art offers no definitive answers, instead embracing harmony and the beauty of uncertainty. Her works mirror the essence of nature—boundless and harmonious—encouraging audiences to embark on their interpretations.

Inspired by the evocative poetry of W.B. Yeats, the exhibition challenges visitors to view Alpay’s declaration not as an end but as the threshold to new, uncharted realms of imagination.
