As Dubai’s summer pulses with energy, the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA), nestled in the heart of Souk Madinat Jumeirah, unveils a dynamic and diverse August calendar. From electrifying rock nights to meditative sound journeys and interactive performances for kids, the 360° immersive venue continues to push creative boundaries. Whether you’re seeking soulful music, meaningful connection, or sensory discovery, TODA offers a curated journey through art, sound, and experience.

The month kicks off with “Fierce & Loud: Rock Anthems Reimagined” on 2nd August, where Alexa Bash takes centre stage to deliver raw, recharged renditions of legendary rock hits. Her fierce vocals paired with TODA’s immersive digital backdrop promise a night that’s both nostalgic and entirely new. On 8th August, Sean Rumsey’s “Play My Song” invites audiences into the spotlight—crowds submit requests and shape the night’s live setlist in real time, blurring the line between performer and guest.
Jazz lovers will be spoiled for choice with a trio of unforgettable performances. De Cruz’s jazz trio from Nigeria returns on 9th August, fusing jazz classics with Motown rhythm. On 15th August, David Howard, the velvet-voiced Chicago native, pays tribute to the great jazz singers of the swing era. Rounding off the jazz series on 29th August, Olesia Glants & Big Band light up the stage with sultry standards and cinematic pop interpretations.

Cultural nights bring the soul of Lebanon and Italy to Dubai. On 16th August, Majd Khattar leads a heartfelt tribute to Fairuz, Melhem Barakat, and other Lebanese icons, accompanied by 360° visuals inspired by Lebanon’s landscapes. One week later, on 22nd August, “La Dolce Vita” channels Italian charm with Bibi’s captivating vocals performing hits like “Volare” and “Bella Ciao” in stylish new arrangements.
August also sees the return of “Dreams of Rumi” (23rd August), a poetic, spiritual performance weaving music, poetry, and Sufi whirling in homage to the beloved mystic. The following evening (24th August), internationally renowned pianist Oleg Poliansky headlines “The Painted Piano”, a concert where Mussorgsky, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff come alive amid visual art and music in perfect harmony.

For families, TODA brings multisensory magic with “An Immersive Sensory Experience for Kids” on 10th and 31st August. Designed in collaboration with Charlie’s, each session invites children into themed worlds—underwater serenity in “Touch the Ocean” and glowing galaxies in “Touch the Space”—where textures, colours, and sounds guide learning through play.
Wellness seekers can take a journey within through TODA’s two standout healing events. On 14th August, “Sound Journey to Ancestors” with Gian Carlo offers a reconnection with ancestral wisdom through ancient instruments and shamanic techniques. Then, on 26th August, “Sound Healing 360: Sacred Soundspace” blends beatboxing, live looping, and sacred tones into an immersive meditation that’s as contemporary as it is transformative.

Closing the month on a high note, “Kvartirnik 2.0” (30th August) celebrates Russian nostalgia with an intimate gathering of music and stories, replicating the warmth of homegrown musical get-togethers. Whether you come for the music, the healing, or the wonder, TODA in August is a reminder that art—when wrapped in technology and intention—has the power to move, restore, and unite.
