Richard Mille, a brand that is ever present at major vintage sports car events such as the Le Mans Classic and Chantilly Arts & Elegance, is also equally committed to the pinnacle of today’s motor-sports with its support of Formula 1 teams and drivers. Richard Mille has now committed itself to one of the legendary temples of speed: The Circuit Paul Ricard. This is Richard Mille’s second partnership with an F1 track, following its partnership with Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.

As the official watchmaking partner, the Richard Mille brand is now visible alongside the Paul Ricard race track, on video screens and on the track vehicle fleet, as well as throughout public, media and VIP areas. It will also adorn the vast Tour Chrono, a time tower specially erected at the entrance to the final straight opposite the stands and main grandstands. Spectators will be able to keep pace with the events on the track by following the positions lap by lap, live on a giant screen, thanks to Richard Mille.

“We are delighted to partner with Richard Mille and showcase our shared passions and values of technology, a pioneering spirit and motorsport. The Tour Chrono – whose design is a great success because it was created by the teams at Richard Mille – plays a key role at an internationally renowned track such as the Circuit Paul Ricard, because it provides live updates on positions and times, and a live stream of the race itself.” – Stéphane Clair, Chief Executive of the Circuit Paul Ricard.

An FIA Grade 1 international circuit with 167 possible configurations, the Circuit Paul Ricard opened in 1970 at Le Castellet, in the Var region of France. The track has witnessed some of the most memorable clashes in the sport’s history. The French Formula 1 Grand Prix, Bol d’Or and countless mechanical tests on four and two wheels have helped to establish the Circuit’s legendary status. In 2017, it saw 300 days of operation and hosted 250,000 spectators. A new chapter in its history began on 24 June 2018, when the Formula 1 World Championship returned to France. This was in addition to the 20 other public events hosted by the circuit.
