The All-New Audi Q5 Embarks on a 2,300-Kilometre Journey Across the Middle East

Few launches capture the spirit of movement quite like Audi’s. To mark the arrival of the all-new Audi Q5 in the Middle East, the brand orchestrated one of its most ambitious regional premieres to date—a 2,300-kilometre drive across Saudi Arabia and the UAE, designed to test not just performance, but endurance, versatility, and vision. Over five days and six cities, the Q5 proved itself as a vehicle built for real roads, real drivers, and the region’s boundless terrain.

The convoy began in AlUla, winding through the Kingdom’s striking desert landscapes before crossing borders and concluding in Dubai. Along the way, the Q5 confronted every possible element the Middle East had to offer—from shimmering heat and open highways to steep mountain roads and coastal stretches. It was not a static showcase, but a living journey—each kilometre an affirmation of the model’s refinement, capability, and composure.

“The Middle East is a region that moves—fast, far, and with intent,” said Rene Koneberg, Managing Director of Audi Middle East. “From AlUla to Dubai, the Q5 delivered with precision and confidence, proving its place in a landscape defined by momentum, diversity, and ambition.” For Elmir Arnautovic, Marketing and Communications Director, the experience was equally meaningful: “Covering 2,300 kilometres in just a few days allowed us to see the Q5’s character in every condition possible. It felt composed, responsive, and ready for anything—exactly what drivers here demand.”

Built for versatility and designed for the region, the third-generation Q5 represents a complete evolution in Audi’s compact SUV lineup. Enhanced with mild hybrid technology, an all-digital cockpit, and advanced driver assistance systems, it merges intelligent engineering with understated luxury. Every test during the journey—from high-speed performance to precision handling—reinforced the model’s dual promise of comfort and capability.

This was a launch defined by motion and meaning. With temperatures climbing past 45°C and no cars transported by freight, the Q5’s performance was experienced entirely in situ—through border crossings, desert refuelling points, and city arrivals. Each destination along the route offered a new lens on how the Q5 adapts not just to roads, but to lifestyles, reflecting the rhythm of a region that balances heritage and hypermodernity.

The tour concluded with a glimpse into the future: Audi previewed the all-new Audi Q3 at Sir Bani Yas Island, offering guests an early look at the next chapter in its SUV portfolio. Carrying the same digital-first design philosophy as the Q5, the Q3 will expand Audi’s product offensive across the Middle East when it launches in early 2026—a signal of the brand’s continued commitment to innovation and versatility.

Over the course of five days, eight Q5s journeyed across two countries and countless stories. What began as a drive became something more—a testament to Audi’s belief that progress is best measured in motion. With every kilometre, the all-new Q5 reaffirmed what defines the brand: precision, performance, and a quiet mastery of design that feels right at home in the modern Middle East.
