An Elevated Culinary Dialogue Between Cultures
Romeo Lane, the contemporary dining destination nestled within the Pullman Hotel in Business Bay, introduces a refined new offering for adventurous palates: a 10-course East-meets-East Degustation Menu launching on June 16th. The limited-time tasting experience is a bold conversation between the spice-laden complexity of Indian cuisine and the minimalist precision of Japanese culinary arts, served in a stylish and story-driven setting.
Offered daily by reservation, this immersive Chef’s Table menu captures the soul of cross-cultural cuisine, where dishes are smoked, seared, and meticulously composed. With two parallel 10-course journeys—vegetarian and non-vegetarian—diners can indulge in a tasting progression that’s both theatrical and deeply satisfying. A curated wine pairing is also available, enhancing the experience with five international wines and an opening glass of Champagne.

At AED 350, the non-vegetarian experience opens with a dazzling interpretation of the Indian pani puri, where Bluefin Tuna Tartare is dressed with ponzu and tamarind waters for a crisp, briny burst of umami. Tandoori Salmon follows in a tangy tomato-caper jus, offering a modern riff on smoky coastal fare, while the A5 Wagyu Nigiri, crowned with truffle and kizami wasabi, reflects peak indulgence and precision.
For mains, diners can select between the Bhatti Australian Lamb Chop in rich rhara gravy or a Jumbo Tiger Prawn Moilee swimming in a velvety coconut curry—a soulful homage to South Indian flavours. Each course is artfully matched with global wines to round out this layered and luxurious dining journey.
Equally compelling at AED 300, the vegetarian menu delights with inventive offerings like Zucchini Blossom Tempura paired with berry chutney—a dish that plays on temperature and tang. A standout course, Textures of Mushroom with galauti spice, transforms humble fungi into a deeply umami-laden, melt-in-your-mouth experience, while the Saag Buratini fuses North Indian saag with creamy burrata, anchored by a warm missi roti.

This plant-forward tasting is elegant without being austere, delivering richness, warmth, and vibrancy in every bite. It’s a celebration of balance and creativity that echoes the same finesse as the non-vegetarian counterpart.
To close the meal, Romeo Lane offers its signature Kulfi Falooda, reimagined with malai almond kulfi, colourful vermicelli, and a cloud of whipped rabdi foam. It’s nostalgic yet fresh, traditional yet transformed—perfectly paired with a rare Indian late-harvest Chenin Blanc from Nashik valley. This final course is not just dessert, but a love letter to the subcontinent’s sweet traditions.
The East-meets-East Degustation Menu is served in Romeo Lane’s distinctively stylish space—intimate yet social, anchored in rich storytelling and refined design. Seating is limited and available strictly by prior reservation, offering a sense of exclusivity to those eager to explore this gastronomic East-West narrative.
