Chef Heinz Beck – the award-winning chef who helms the three Michelin-starred La Pergola in Rome – is in town till March 4 to present a limited-edition menu at Social by Heinz Beck, housed in the Waldorf Astoria at Palm Jumeirah. Exclusively for diners in Dubai, Chef Beck presents an artfully curated selection of dishes from his renowned repertoire.
Chef Beck is widely known throughout Italy and Europe as a master of modern gastronomy. Expressing a unique interpretation of the modern kitchen, Beck’s artistry exceeds his raw culinary talent with a well-guarded process, which includes mindfully selecting ingredients and implementing innovative techniques to transform simple ingredients into highly evocative dishes.
Following the success of La Pergola in Rome, Social by Heinz Beck opened its doors in 2014, and has been a stalwart in Dubai’s fine dining scene ever since. The venue offers a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere with magnificent views of Dubai, making this an ideal setting for everyday dining and special celebratory meals.
Chef Beck is accompanied in the kitchen by his culinary team led by head chef Francesco Acquaviva. Using the finest ingredients and their culinary artistry, the chef and his team have created seminal culinary moments for a select number of diners.
Guests have the option of a five-course meal priced at AED600 or a seven-course meal priced at AED800, along with the opportunity to meet the master who created it.
The epicurean journey curated by Chef Beck comprises marinated buffalo fillet with grilled fennel, celery mayonnaise and spinach; Scallop with cauliflowers and caviar; Lobster with artichoke and black truffle; Beef cheek tortellini with wild garlic and fava beans; Sea bass fillet with “winter perfumes”; Veal tenderloin with mushroom and mixed beans. The journey ends with a sweet “Tribute to the women.”
Dining hours are between 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm with a smart casual dress code. Children six years and above are permitted. Social by Heinz Beck has a seating capacity of 165, both indoor and al fresco dining, along with one private dining room and one chef’s table.
