Rosewood Calistoga: A New Vision for Napa Valley

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® is set to bring a new chapter of luxury to California’s Napa Valley with the debut of Rosewood Calistoga and Rosewood Residences Calistoga in 2027. Spanning 118 acres of hillside estate, the development will mark a defining moment for the brand in North America, uniting architecture, wellness, and culinary artistry in a setting shaped by the land and legacy of Calistoga. Anchored by Rosewood’s Sense of Place philosophy, the property promises a transformative retreat that reimagines the essence of wine country living.

The vision for Rosewood Calistoga is one of immersion and belonging, where design, heritage, and nature come together in dialogue. Envisioned as a living ecosystem, the estate invites discovery and rejuvenation in equal measure. It is a destination where the slower rhythm of life restores balance, where moments with loved ones unfold against a backdrop of forested ridgelines, and where Napa Valley serves as both a setting and a guide.

Atelier Marsh will lead the design, carrying forward the vision of architect Ed Tuttle with a language of understated elegance. Across 129 guestrooms, suites, and residences, the architecture will follow the contours of the ridgeline, embracing natural materials and motifs that evolve with the seasons. Interiors will harmonize refinement with warmth, capturing the character of wine country while remaining rooted in contemporary sensibility.

Culinary experiences will play a central role in defining the spirit of Rosewood Calistoga. Each restaurant and bar will draw on local provenance, highlighting produce harvested daily from the estate gardens alongside the offerings of Napa’s farms and wineries. From starlit vineyard dinners to earth-to-table dining at the signature restaurant, every experience will reflect a profound connection to land and community. A cocktail bar and poolside eatery will add variety, while immersive workshops and tastings will invite guests into the ritual of discovery.

Wellness will find expression through Asaya®, Rosewood’s integrative well-being concept, which will open onto the forest with six treatment rooms, hydrotherapy areas, and a garden sanctuary designed for renewal. Two swimming pools, one reserved for adults and another welcoming families, will anchor outdoor leisure, while a fitness center and Rosewood Explorer’s club will offer tailored activities for every generation. More than 20,000 square feet of event space will allow the estate to host gatherings that combine elegance with intimacy.

Rosewood Residences Calistoga will extend the experience to a select community, with 20 private villas and 13 homesites nestled into the hillside. Each residence will balance natural textures with contemporary refinement, blending seamlessly into the forest and vine. Owners will enjoy access to Rosewood’s amenities, from wellness to gastronomy, while benefiting from the privileges of the Rosewood Reserve program. This intimate collection will offer a lifestyle rooted in authenticity, connection, and the enduring beauty of Napa.

With Rosewood Calistoga, the brand sets a new benchmark for hospitality in wine country, blending architectural innovation with cultural depth and a profound sense of place. It is a property designed to inspire awe and belonging in equal measure, an ode to the rhythms of land and life, and a vision of luxury that feels as natural as it is extraordinary.
