Mekong Kingdoms, a pioneer in boutique river cruising, has elevated the art of travel with the launch of its latest vessel, Bohème. Making its debut on 9th December 2024, the 50-meter-long luxury cruiser embarks on a six-day, five-night journey between Luang Prabang, the royal capital of Laos, and Vientiane, its bustling national capital.

A Floating Icon of Elegance

Bohème redefines river cruising with an intimate and exclusive experience. Designed to accommodate up to 26 guests, the ship features 13 lavish suites adorned with Laotian-inspired designs, rich textures, and high-end amenities. From Deluxe Suites with private balconies to the 60-square-meter Royal Suite boasting a freestanding bath and dedicated butler service, every detail reflects understated luxury. Premium features such as air conditioning, Nespresso coffee machines, and silky Laotian Ikat bed linens ensure unparalleled comfort.

The Journey: A Symphony of Culture and Nature

Guests aboard Bohème will immerse themselves in the captivating beauty of the Mekong River, punctuated by curated cultural experiences and natural wonders:

  • Luang Prabang: Begin or end the journey in this UNESCO World Heritage town with a stay at the historic Avani+ Luang Prabang Hotel.
  • Pak Ou Caves: Torchlight expeditions reveal countless Buddha statues within these sacred limestone caves.
  • Kuang Si Waterfall: Witness the majestic cascades amidst the Laotian jungle.
  • Ban Xang Khong: Learn the art of saa paper-making using mulberry bark, flowers, and leaves.
  • Xayaboury Elephant Conservation Centre: Interact with elephants and gain insight into their care and the center’s conservation efforts.
  • Pak Lay: Enjoy a farewell dinner featuring traditional Lao dance.

Onboard Delights and Luxuries

Bohème offers more than just a cruise; it’s a holistic journey of leisure and enrichment. Mornings can be spent bird-watching or indulging in treatments at the two onboard spas, while afternoons bring opportunities for cooking and mixology classes led by the dedicated 20-person crew. Nights aboard are filled with enchanting riverside dining, capturing the essence of the Mekong’s allure.

Pricing and Availability

The five-night Bohème experience starts at USD 3,400 per person, based on double occupancy in a Deluxe Suite. Guests can choose between downstream cruises from Luang Prabang or upstream cruises from Vientiane.
