The scent opens with a balance of fruit, wood and spice, developed from a blend of cypress, bergamot and heliotrope. Parfums de Marly was founded in 2009 by Julien Sprecher. The brand takes its name from the Chevaux de Marly, commissioned by King Louis XV in 1743, as his pleasure palace, hosting extravagant celebrations.
