Since its establishment in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany, the New York-based Tiffany & Co has become synonymous with elegance, innovative design, fine craftsmanship and creative excellence. Its creations, anchored by jewellery featuring exceptional gemstones, catered mostly to female clientele. For men, the brand remained rather conservative, limiting its offerings to such staples as wedding rings, watches and money clips. That has now changed.
This August, the brand announced two extensive collections, under its new Tiffany Men’s line, developed exclusively for gentlemen: The Tiffany 1837 Makers and Diamond Point. The two collections feature jewellery, home & accessories, watches and more that are direct, uncomplicated and rooted in the brand’s legacy of exceptional craftsmanship.

“Tiffany Men’s is centred on craftsmanship as the foundation of our company. Tiffany 1837 Makers is a nod to the workmanship and time-honoured techniques used in creating jewellery—the idea that there’s a person behind each object. Diamond Point takes a more modern and graphic approach, utilizing a pattern inspired by a diamond’s culet that ties back to our diamond authority.” – Reed Krakoff, chief artistic officer, Tiffany & Co.

The Tiffany 1837 Makers collection is inspired by the brand’s Rhode Island hollowware workshop – renowned for its 160-history of handcrafting sports trophies – and its silversmithing legacy – the company set the US standard for sterling silver at 925 per 1,000 parts silver. Designers experimented with concave and convex forms and flat edges to recreate a utilitarian hardware feel to the collection. Each piece is stamped with “T & CO,” “NY,” and “AG925” symbols to give it a contemporary touch. The exceptional piece in the collection is the made-to-order Trophy Ring.
While Tiffany 1837 Makers is artisanal and utilitarian, the Diamond Point collection represents the elevated, classic end of the style spectrum. It features a “Diamond Point” graphic pattern – either as a subtle accent or a prominent overlay – throughout the collection. Examples include the Diamond Point rectangle pendant in sterling silver, cuff in sterling silver and a cocktail mixer in lead crystal and sterling silver. Most of the Diamond Point jewellery designs are die struck and hand-polished to achieve the distinctive textured motif.

  • Keyhole Pendant in Sterling Silver
  • Bar Pendant in Sterling Silver
  • Bar Cufflinks in Sterling Silver
  • Ballpoint Pen in Sterling Silver
  • Paperweight in Sterling silver

The standout piece is the one-of-a-kind, handcrafted solid sterling silver and 18k yellow gold vermeil chess set. Envisioned by Reed Krakoff, the chess set is simple and utilitarian in form while being quintessentially Tiffany in its use of materials and exceptional finishing.
